Book A Hotel

Take getting back to nature to an entirely new level with an epic glamping experience in the heart of the Peruvian Andes with Peru Ecocamp. Stay in a luxurious dome and enjoy the finest Peruvian cuisine while you trek the region.

Location

There are five Ecocamps located at strategic sites within the great Vilcabamba mountain range in the Peru’s southern Andes in South America. Transportation from Cusco to the Ecocamps and back to your hotel or airport is provided. The team that manage Peru Ecocamp also conduct a variety of tours and hiking trips in the area. You can take an exclusive trip to the stunning Glacial Lake Humantay via a private path to avoid the crowds; or trek the Amazon jungle, or go on a wildlife day. Perhaps the most famous of their hikes takes the Salkantay trekking route to Machu Picchu, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World; the hike offers a spectacular alternative to the usual Inca Trail for trekkers who wish to walk a less well-trodden path.

Style & Character

The Ecocamps offer the first sustainable, eco-friendly luxury camping experience in Peru. They are beautiful spaces, planted with organic gardens, with stunning views, where you can wake up in the middle of the cloud forest in a cosy geodesic dome; pure back-to-nature bliss! The domes themselves are sleek and futuristic, and yet seem to blend perfectly with their environment; inside the décor is simple but chic.

Service & Facilities

Each of the five camps boasts a beautifully decorated Dining Dome, a Lobby Bar Dome and an outdoor fire pit; these are sociable spaces where you can connect with your fellow glampers and share hiking tales. The eco-credentials are genuinely important here; they aim to leave an absolute minimum environmental impact upon the pristine natural settings that surround the camps. They make use of both solar energy and employ natural water sources which they filter and purify. The staff are passionate and they make the service special; they are helpful, genuine and the guides have unrivalled knowledge of the local area and are just bursting to share it with you.

Rooms

Each boutique site has just eight domes. Your dome is spacious at 28m2 or 300ft2 and includes a very comfortable king-size bed, and yes there’s electricity and even Wi-Fi! Your private, luxurious bathroom has a toilet and hot shower with a massaging showerhead (you can even play some tunes through the Bluetooth-connected speakers in the showers!); everything that you would expect in a nice hotel basically, just a whole lot closer to nature! The wood burning stove in your dome will be lit while you enjoy dinner so you return to a pleasantly warm and snug dome. Fall asleep under the most amazing, blanket of stars you’ll ever have seen and wake up to the birds’ morning chorus.

Food & Drink

The food at the Ecocamps is a real treat; the chefs provide an exquisite fully catered gourmet Peruvian inspired breakfast, lunch and 3-course dinner. They primarily use ingredients sourced from the organic garden or from local producers. Your evening meal will be perfectly paired with a choice of local wines and beers too.
