My absolute favourite way to spend time with family and friends is, perhaps unsurprisingly!, to travel together! Stay somewhere sunny, with lots to explore, in a beautiful villa; all which sounds exactly like the Luxury Villa Pari Manda on Naxos Island in Greece.
Location
Naxos Island is the largest of the Cyclades Islands, in Greece. More fertile and green than most of the other Cyclades islands; come and browse mountain villages, visit ancient ruins and classical Greece and Byzantium sites, relax on long stretches of beautiful beach and meander the streets of Naxos Town (also known as Hora), its main city with a delightful water-front and maze of steep cobbled alleys. Villa Pari Manda is located in Agios Prokopios Stelida and takes full advantage of the breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea, looking up the south west coast of the island and across to the neighbouring islands of Paros, Ios and Sikinos. The villa is just 10 minutes away from the Port of Naxos and you are close to the airport (1km away), complimentary transfers are provided by your hosts. You are a short 5-minute drive to Naxos Town and some of the island’s most beautiful beaches are a few minutes away, with the nearest being just a 10-minute walk away.
Style & Character
The 390 m² private villa is exceptionally luxurious. Built in the local Cycladic style, it is spread across 3 floors and houses a fluid open-plan living space with a stylish, rustic finish; think exposed brick walls and chic white furnishings. The overall mood is tranquil, warm and welcoming and those gorgeous views of the beautiful landscaped gardens and the sea beyond are truly captivating. The gardens are a real highlight here; vibrant and colourful they surround a large, freeform swimming pool with a hot tub. With a huge outdoor terrace, 2 BBQ areas, sun loungers and private pergolas, outside is where you’ll want to be most of the time; relax with a glass of something chilled taking in the magnificent sea views while you catch up with old friends.
Service & Facilities
Inside, relax on the oversized luxury leather corner sofas, watch a film together (there’s satellite TV and on demand cable TV) and enjoy the beautiful artwork that adorns the walls. The living areas are spacious and there’s plenty of places to go to get a little peace and quiet with separate living rooms on both the first and ground floor; lovely as it is to holiday as a group, I always like to find a space for a little private sanctuary too. All the services that you would expect are included; there’s free Wi-Fi throughout, air-conditioning, heating, a daily maid service and sufficient private parking for more than 5 cars.
Rooms
The villa can comfortably sleep 11 guests across the 4 luxurious, spacious bedrooms; several of the rooms open to the garden and one features a spacious veranda. There are also 4 bathrooms so there are no worries about having to share. One of the bathrooms has a Jacuzzi so be sure to arrive first and bag this one!
Food & Drink
Cooking for yourself on holiday always seems so much better when there’s a group of you to share the task; crack open a bottle and share the jobs out, then tuck into steaming plates together as you dine alfresco and chat late into the night. There’s not one but two gorgeous, rustic country kitchens; both are fully equipped with everything that you could need to create a feast. And if the weather allows, and this is Greece so it’s a good chance that it will, there are of course those two barbeques outside! A complimentary welcome basket is provided by your hosts to get you started and be sure to include the locally grown olives, grapes, figs, citrus fruit, corn and potatoes in your subsequent shops. There are many lovely places to eat out nearby too, with restaurants in Naxos Town serving Greek and International cuisine, quaint village grills and beachside tavernas just waiting to be discovered.
