Al-Khobar is a large city located in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia on the coast of the Persian Gulf. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of the city on the vibrant city’s popular Corniche, buzzing with shopping malls and restaurants. The nearest airport to the hotel is King Fahad International Airport Dammam which is just 55 km away. If you are travelling from London you can fly direct to Riyadh in just over 6 hours and then either drive to Al-Khobar in 4 hours or fly in just over an hour.
Style & Character
The twelve-story hotel is sophisticated, luxurious and contemporary. You are welcomed by a beautiful waterfall outside the hotel and inside it’s refined and comfortable.
Service & Facilities
The hotel enjoys state-of-the-art wellness and recreation facilities, including a fitness centre, steam room, sauna, indoor swimming pool and a squash court – although please be aware that sport and leisure facilities are available for men only for the time being. The hotel is suitable for leisure and business travellers alike and includes ten flexible meetings and events halls. They really pride themselves on service here, it is exemplary; professional and courteous with a personal touch.
Rooms
There are 121 rooms and 22 luxurious suites, all offer free Wi-Fi, a Nespresso coffeemaker, satellite television, iHome docking station, minibar, air conditioning, tea and coffee making facilities, bathrobes, soft towels, slippers, safe and heating. The views are something special here, choose from the city skyline or Arabian Gulf, you really can’t go wrong! The entry-level Deluxe Rooms are 40 m² or the Premium Rooms also offer a sitting area and king-sized bed and are 60 m², connecting Family rooms are available too. If you want to treat yourself to a suite (and I’d certainly recommend that you do, they are, of course, much more luxurious and spacious!) choose from: an Executive Suite at 107 m², the 2-bed Silver Royal Suite at 136 m² or the most exclusive and prestigious penthouse Gold Royal Suite; 160 m² of luxury with 2 bedrooms and panoramic views.
Food & Drink
There are a choice of four excellent restaurants at Movenpick Hotel Al Khobar; The Blue offers all-day dining with International cuisine served in a relaxed setting with live cooking stations being the star of the show, Maharaja by Vineet is a renowned authentic Indian Restaurant, with a Michelin Star winning chef and live Tandoori cooking performances, The View is located on the twelfth floor and is well-named with a stunning panoramic view of Al Khobar City and the Gulf, fine dining and soft drinks are served with style and finally Le Café is the place to go for a continental breakfast, indulgent pastry and signature coffee.
