Which are the best Marriott Bonvoy luxury hotels in Buenos Aires, Argentina? There’s plenty of choice within the Marriott brand, including top brands like the Luxury Collection, EDITION, St Regis, W Hotels, and JW Marriott, as well as mid-range brands like their Autograph Collection, Renaissance, Sheraton, Le Meridien, Design Hotels, and their Westin collections.

Most of the best-loved tourist attractions in Buenos Aires, the birthplace of tango, can be found between the Monserrat and San Telmo neighborhoods. Avenida de Mayo is one of the city’s most prominent areas, with the Casa Rosada and the Palace of Congress sitting opposite to one another, and flanked by other notable architectural works, such as the House of Culture, the Barolo Palace, and the oldest café in the city: Café Tortoni.

Of note, there is no Ritz-Carlton or St. Regis in Buenos Aires. In fact, there are very few Marriotts in Buenos Aires, Argentina, which means Park Tower, a Luxury Collection Hotel, is the best Marriott hotel choice.

1. Four Seasons Hotel Buenos Aires

Our best hotel choice in Buenos Aires is the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel Buenos Aires on the edge of Recoleta, one of the city’s most historic neighborhoods with tree-lined Avenues lined with French architecture and appealing cafés and high-end boutiques.

Of course, this is not a Marriott Bonvoy hotel at all, it is a Four Seasons hotel but it is worth considering as it is so outstanding. Four Seasons is not part of Marriott rewards and because they don’t have a Four Seasons loyalty program, you will never be able to book a free stay by racking up and redeeming points, or by collecting points on your credit card and spending them on a Four Seasons hotel stay. It can’t be done. But you can get discounts at Four Seasons hotels and benefit from special rewards at Four Seasons hotels for no extra cost by booking your next stay via our luxury travel concierge.

White and grey marble adorn the foyer walls and floor, and artwork and installations have horse, wine, and tango themes. These works of art can be found throughout the hotel. The rooms are classic and historic with many original features, including original fireplaces and high ceilings with chandeliers. Suites feel like they have stepped out of a Parisien Palace. Bathrooms are modern and swish with marble and L’Occitane toiletries. Immerse yourself completely in the setting by staying in their seven La Mansión suites, decorated in French style with carefully chosen antiques.

The outdoor pool here is smart and flanked by loungers, ideal for enjoying the Argentinian sunshine. Cielo Spa offers wine massages and backrubs to the background of Argentine Tango.

The hotel’s restaurants and bars are surprisingly trendy, given the more traditional look of the hotel. Expect to enjoy live DJs while you sip your cocktail.

2. Park Tower, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Buenos Aires

Park Tower, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Buenos Aires is a Marriott Bonvoy Rewards Category 5 hotel. It shares the same building as the Sheraton Convention Center reviewed below and is the best Marriott Bonvoy in Buenos Aires.

From the clock tower at Plaza San Martín to the Rio de la Plata coastline, find a city intimately attuned to indigenous experiences. At La Boca, take a photo of colorful zinc shacks along the Riachuelo River. At Puerto Madero, discover a distinguished dockside with redbrick buildings, refined steakhouses, and Puente de la Mujer, an iconic suspension bridge worthy of your social media. When you debark the ferry from Montevideo, Uruguay, unwind with exquisite spa services.

This five-star hotel offers valet parking, two pools, a fitness center, and fine dining on the second floor with scenic views of Alem Street. Make Torre Monumental the backdrop to your meeting or wedding and cherish similar cityscapes from a private terrace. Hotel suites include walk-in closets, safes, kitchens, and separate living spaces. Refresh from a marble bathroom and rest on a pillow top mattress.

This hotel has a super club lounge for breakfast and evening treats, plus you can also (apparently) access the Sheraton club lounge of the Sheraton Convention Center on the 22nd floor, which is a hotel housed in the same building and which offers the best array of evening food.

3. Sheraton Convention Center

Sheraton Convention Center is a Rewards Category 4 hotel. This five-star hotel is a launchpad into San Telmo, Palermo, Puerto Madero, and other neighborhoods of Buenos Aires. Take Estación Retiro to the National Museum of Fine Arts, Recoleta Cemetery, or The Teatro Colón. See the international side of Argentina’s capital at Jardín Japonés and corporate offices such as American Express and Mitsubishi.

In terms of dining, refuel at Buono Italian Kitchen, enjoy a cocktail at Doce25 and work out at Sheraton Fitness, their gym with resistance bands, free weights, and a row of treadmills facing the outdoor pool and sun deck.

Sheraton Buenos Aires Hotel & Convention Center has an executive club lounge on the top floor. Their club breakfast is pretty extensive with a small but full buffet including omelet, which can get very busy. Coffee and snacks are available throughout the day.

There is plenty of food at the Sheraton club lounge in the evening, enough to fill you up, but there are no hot food, and the sweet dishes are nicer than the savory ones. There is also free red and white wine, although other alcohol costs (non-alcoholic drinks are free). The highlight is, however, the spectacular view over the Retiro station and the Recoleta neighborhood from the lounge.

4. Hotel Panamericano Buenos Aires

Hotel Panamericano Buenos Aires is a Rewards Category 5 hotel with brilliant views to some of Buenos Aires most emblematic monuments thanks to its perfect location. The hotel can be found right in the heart of must-see attractions such as Colon Theater, the Obelisk, the Palace of Justice, century-old buildings as well, as 9 de Julio Avenue, the widest avenue in the world.

Upscale rooms feature plush mattresses and complimentary Wi-Fi. There are hearty dining options but no executive club lounge at this Marriott Bonvoy hotel.

5. Sheraton Pilar Hotel & Convention Center

Sheraton Pilar Hotel & Convention Center is a Rewards Category 4 Marriott Bonvoy hotel 30 miles outside Buenos Aires. It is worth considering if you are looking for a more resort-style hotel as it has a great pool and sundeck.

This three-story hotel offers 140 luxurious rooms, including 8 suites with views of the magnificent gardens. Find a variety of gastronomic options in three restaurants, Don Giovanni, Las Vasijas, and La Federala, or relax in their Health Club offering Hydromassage, sauna, heated pool, and gym. There is no club lounge at this Sheraton.
