Delta now has 150 peak day departures from Boston’s Logan airport and has added this to their list of hub airports.
Joint venture partners Virgin Atlantic and Alitalia serve Boston across the Atlantic, and Korean Air now serves Boston as well, giving them a gateway to Asia. It’s being described as a relief hub for New York JFK, since they apparently “can’t grow operations there.”
Why do we care? One reason is that there are some really super hotels in Boston with club lounges, so if you need to layover, this is a great city to enjoy for a night or two. A second reason is that we are big fans of Delta. It is, overall, our favorite American Airline although everyone’s opinion on which is best differs. This survey selected American Airlines as the second-best airline in the world.
