There are many delicious restaurants on the Channel Island of Guernsey. Most, because of the Island’s nautical setting, specialize in seafood, with crab and lobster dishes taking pride of place on their menu. But for something a little different and equally enjoyable, why not try one of the best Indian restaurants on the Island?

Hidden inside the luxurious Old Government House hotel, right in the heart of St Peter Port, you will find “The Curry Room”.

This petite Indian restaurant takes you on a journey back to Colonial India with wonderful historic decoration, old photos, ageing swords and rich red panelling on the walls. The food is a classic take on Indian dining with a variety of curries put together by head chef Simon McKenzie and his team.

The menu is garnered from authentic Indian recipes encompassing different regions of India and the three course menu offers a great way to enjoy a cross-section of the best bits from the menu.

Great atmosphere, great food and great setting. What more could you want!
