Park Hyatt hotels are the most luxurious brand within the Hyatt hotel group. I love luxury Park Hyatt hotels because they blend elegant design, local flavor, sophistication, and gracious service. They are in a class apart. Guests enjoy beautiful surroundings, renowned art, and exceptional food and wine at Park Hyatt hotels.

Park Hyatt hotels tend to be found in major city locations such as Milan, Paris, and Zurich in Europe, as well as cities across America (North and South), throughout Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.

There are also Park Hyatt Resorts, which sit outside major cities, many in beachside locations. These include the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort, Golf Club & Spa in California, Park Hyatt St. Kitts Christophe Harbour, Park Hyatt Mallorca, Park Hyatt Zanzibar, Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa, and the ski resort of Park Hyatt Beaver Creek in Colorado.

Hyatt is one of the world’s best hotel brands, with a global portfolio of more than 500 hotels and resorts across 12 distinctive brands. We have reviewed the best Andaz hotels, the best Grand Hyatt hotels, the best Hyatt Regency hotels and the best Hyatt Centric hotels. Other brands within the Hyatt portfolio include Alila, Hyatt House, Hyatt Zilara & Ziva, Hyatt Residence Club, Hyatt Place, and the Unbound Collection by Hyatt.

There are also some exciting new Park Hyatt openings. These include hotels that are not listed in our “Best Park Hyatt” list below because they are not yet open. These include Park Hyatt Auckland, which is the best hotel in Auckland, Park Hyatt Kyoto and Park Hyatt Niseko, Hanazono in Japan, Park Hyatt Jakarta, Park Hyatt Doha, Qatar, Park Hyatt Los Angeles at Oceanwide Plaza in America, and Park Hyatt Toronto in Canada.

We love Park Hyatt hotels. All Park Hyatt hotels are great, but we have selected those which we think are the best in the world below, so in no particular order, here is our selection of the best Park Hyatt hotels in the world:

1. Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas

Abu Dhabi is an amalgamation of old-world charm and new-age culture with trendy nightspots and the brimming cultural districts of the capital. All of this lies close to the award-winning Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi, which provides its guests with the best of both worlds: the ability to relax and unwind on the most pristine shores of Saadiyat whilst also being able to get the adrenaline pumping with adventures on the sun-kissed sands of the Arabian desert.

The Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi is one of three Hyatt hotels in Abu Dhabi. There is also an Andaz and a Grand Hyatt, and we have investigated which is best: Park Hyatt vs. Andaz vs. Grand Hyatt Abu Dhabi.

At Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi, you can lose yourself in the luxury of an island sanctuary and enjoy stunning views of the Arabian Sea, landscaped gardens, and pool from your private balcony or terrace.

This stunning hotel features 306 generously sized and luxuriously appointed rooms, suites, and villas, some with private open-air plunge pools. These are the best rooms to pick. Sea View Rooms are large with floor-to-ceiling windows and delightful, chic Arabian cultural touches. The stunning views of the Arabian Sea, Saadiyat Beach, and the soothing pools of the hotel can also be enjoyed from the private balcony. Luxury extras include a Nespresso coffee maker, an open-plan marble bathroom with dual vanity sinks, Hans Grohe walk-in rain shower, a deep soaking stand-alone Toto bathtub, and Le Labo signature bath products.

The hotel also has one of the largest swimming pools in Abu Dhabi and a 9km arc of pristine natural white sand beach.

The hotel’s Atarmia Spa features nine large spa treatment rooms (three with private outdoor terraces), an outdoor 25m lap pool, a fitness room, and a dedicated stretching studio. The hotel also boasts a business center, complimentary Wi-Fi, a 24-hour car park facility, limousine service, airport transfers, private dining, room service, and multilingual hotel staff.

Whilst at the resort, you can participate in recreational activities, play around on the championship 18-hole golf course at the Saadiyat Beach Golf Club designed by Gary Player, and leave the children in the safe hand of Camp Hyatt, offering both indoor and outdoor activities for children.

The hotel has 5 bars and restaurants serving an array of cuisines: The Park Bar & Grill serves carefully selected steaks while The Café showcases a selection of international dishes; the Beach House offers homemade Mediterranean dishes with amazing views of Saadiyat Beach. Finally, the scenic Beach House Rooftop is known as one of the best bars in Abu Dhabi.

2. Park Hyatt Zanzibar

Zanzibar has always sounded like a mystical island to me. Perhaps I read too many storybooks when I was a child about shipwrecks and treasures on these distant spice islands. But it’s not these stories that attract the luxury traveler to Zanzibar. It’s the stunning and unspoiled white-sand beaches that are better than those in the Caribbean, largely because of the lack of crowds.

The Zanzibar Archipelago is located off the eastern coast of Africa in the Indian Ocean. There are more than 40 islands within this archipelago to explore. White-sand beaches are backed by thick green jungle and deep blue mangrove swamps, and inland you can explore vanilla, nutmeg, and black pepper plantations.

Zanzibar City is the island’s capital, and Stone Town is the old quarter, which is a rich culture, heritage, and history that dates back to the 1st century. The entire district’s been made a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

In the heart of Stone Town, placed majestically on the beachfront, you will find the Park Hyatt Zanzibar, a quintessential five-star hotel from which to experience the idyllic East African island of Zanzibar.

The hotel is set amidst Stone Town’s labyrinth of winding alleys, bustling markets, mosques, and famed Zanzibari doors that feature magnificently ornate wooden carvings. The town’s attractions are easily accessible by foot from the hotel and include Forodhani Gardens, the Old Fort, the Old Dispensary, the Peace Memorial Museum, the Palace Museum, and the House of Wonders.

The hotel itself features 67 luxuriously appointed guestrooms and suites that offer understated elegance, with a hint of Indian, brass-studded chests and large bathrooms with standalone tubs plus twin basins and monsoon showers and lemony Laura Tonatto toiletries and Voss water. The highlight of the rooms is the spectacular views of dhow harbors and the Indian Ocean.

Other facilities include an 18m oceanfront infinity pool facing the beach, which is pictured above; a fully-equipped fitness center, gift shop, jewelry shop, hair salon, and a range of business, meeting, and event facilities.

The Spa provides the perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of Stone Town, featuring three large spa suites, a couple’s spa suite, and a private outdoor relaxation center, as well as a wide selection of body treatments and massages.

In terms of dining, guests can enjoy a selection of four elegant restaurants showcasing both authentic cuisine and more casual fare, all with oceanfront terraces overlooking the local beach and the sparkling Indian Ocean.

This wonderful Park Hyatt has direct access to a white-sand beach and the Indian Ocean, offering understated luxury and terraces and an infinity pool overlooking the beach.

3. Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme

Park Hyatt Paris-Vendôme stands as a pinnacle among Hyatt hotels in Paris, earning its place among the elite world’s best Park Hyatt Hotels.

Its aesthetic diverges from the typical Parisian luxury hotel scene, eschewing ornate metalwork and Belle Epoche charm for a striking departure. Instead, stepping into this Park Hyatt feels akin to entering a luminous, expansive Egyptian pyramid or perhaps a grand Roman temple. Creamy pillars and statues, backlit with an evocative Roman torso motif, adorn the space, creating a unique ambiance that captivates.

Within, impeccable cleanliness pervades, complemented by sumptuous brown rugs that soften the gleaming cream corridors. The central courtyard bathes the interior in natural light, flooding through the expansive windows and creating an inviting atmosphere. Opting for a room overlooking the courtyard offers the added delight of people-watching, accompanied by the melodic strains of a pianist serenading guests in the bar below.

The accommodations themselves are opulent and generously proportioned, boasting modern creamy bathrooms that invite indulgence. For a truly special experience, select a room with a terrace affording captivating views of the Parisian streets. Culinary offerings at the Park Hyatt encompass a starred restaurant featuring a chef’s table, a charming Parisian café nestled beneath a glass roof, a refined bar, a cozy lounge area complete with a fireplace, and a terrace where Chef Jean-François Rouquette showcases his exquisite French cuisine. Indulge in the superb breakfast spread for a culinary journey that complements the hotel’s unparalleled luxury experience. This excellent breakfast is free if you book via our luxury travel concierge.

There’s also a lovely bar area in this hotel, which is sophisticated and peaceful. If you’re looking for a more happening venue, take a look at our listing of the 10 best clubs, lounges and bars in Paris.

Just a few minutes walk from iconic landmarks such as the Kremlin, Red Square, and Saint Basil’s Cathedral, the hotel is close to the famous Bolshoi Theatre, Parliament House, the central business district, and the luxury shopping malls TSUM and GUM.

The highlight of the hotel, for most travelers, will be the stunning rooftop bar with panoramic views across Moscow. Surely the perfect place to end the day in this iconic city.

The 205 elegant rooms, including 32 expansive suites, comprise some of the most spectacular Moscow accommodations. Famous New York architect Tony Chi has designed these, and they are something special. The look skews towards a stylish ’70s. Most have a comfy mustard lounger, patterned carpet, and lots of dark woods and browns on the walls, but it works brilliantly. Bathrooms are also large with Blaise Mautin toiletries.

The rooms differ greatly in terms of the view. Some rooms face the street or the courtyard, but the best suites, which sit at the top of the building, have the best views. Pick the Winter Garden suites, which have glass walls and rooftop terraces (also with views).

10. Park Hyatt Vienna

To be honest, all the European Park Hyatt hotels are incredible, so much so that we feature the best European Park Hyatt hotels separately. It is one of our favorites in the smorgasbord of wonderful European Park Hyatt hotels.

Vienna is a city of music, a city of dreams, and the second largest “German City” in the world. Once the capital of the mightiest empire in Europe, still the EU’s seventh-largest. Half a Millennium older than London and much of it a Unesco World Heritage Site.

Park Hyatt Vienna offers the perfect ambiance for a romantic and decadent retreat. The hotel opened in June 2014 following the unbelievably tasteful conversion of the headquarters of an Austrian Hungarian Monarchy Bank, right in the heart of The Golden Quarter.

Everything from The Opera to The Spanish Riding School, museums, cafés, and the best designer label shops (including Vuitton, Burberry, Hermes) is within easy strolling range of this Palace of good taste.

The conversion retains many features of the 100-year-old Neo-classical building, including marble staircases polished by the leather of countless bank clerks’ scurrying brogues. The layout of the offices determined the shape and size of the guest rooms and suites, and here, there were some very important customers, so the proportions are generous.

Rooms are generously proportioned with comfortable seating and impressive bathrooms with luxurious underfloor heating, an enormous rain shower, twin sinks, and a temperature-controlled bath. Top-notch toiletries are by Blaise Mautin.

The judicious use of mirrors emphasizes the sense of space created by very high ceilings and catches the light from the spectacular crystal chandeliers. From the vast quartz marble backdrop to the bath to the hardwood door-frames, no expense has been spared in furnishing the rooms and suites.

One of our favorite aspects of this hotel is the swimming pool, situated under the barrel ceiling of the old bank vault. The original vault door (think one-foot thick plate steel like a James Bond movie) is still in place, though you now access the pool via a different route. The pool itself is lined with golden tiles in the shape of gold bricks, and with calming piped music under the water, the pool is both warm enough for relaxing and large enough for exercise.

A plethora of relaxation areas are also available, from dark, cozy corners for two to single loungers that are so comfortable I wish airlines would use them in first class. Segregated saunas and steam rooms are available in the changing rooms.

Bank restaurant is a glorious space with 8m high ceilings and opulent decor. The breakfast offering is of very high quality with many locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant has a completely different ambiance in the evening, with lower lighting and the backlit stained glass panels on the roof.

If you fancy a relaxing weekend away with a few shows or museum visits, Vienna is a perfect choice. This Park Hyatt provides a great base to explore and, perhaps more importantly, the perfect hideaway to return to.
