Receive complimentary breakfast at Luxury Hotels

Tintswalo Atlantic Hotel is a boutique beach lodge that can be found in Table Mountain National Park. In fact, it’s the only luxury hotel that can be found in the park. This incredible hotel sits right on the oceanfront with a pebble beach just steps away. You will be hard-pressed to find a more special and unique hotel in the vicinity of Cape Town.

Why We Love This Hotel

Tintswalo Atlantic Hotel is known locally as the most dramatic and romantic destination in Southern Africa, and it lives up to its reputation.

Location

This remote 5-star hotel is positioned in a stunning setting, nestled at the base of the ocean-facing Table Mountain National Park. The hotel is reached via a private road that winds down to the hotel. The hotel itself is perfectly located on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. Rooms and communal areas enjoy the best of the both ocean and the mountain views.

Best Time To Visit

There’s surely no wrong time of year to visit Table Mountain National Park. If you want to enjoy the beach, visit during the peak summer period from December to February. Late April to early June has crisp autumnal days, perfect for hiking whereas food and wine lovers are best catered for from late June to August when you can go wine tasting in the nearby Cape Winelands. The best time for whale watching is from July to September when migratory whales arrive along the coastline.

Service & Facilities

The staff at Tintswalo Atlantic Hotel are sincere and enthusiastic, and the facilities include a heated pool, and an array of verandas to take in the view. Days can be spent paddling in the crystal clear waters off the pebble beach or walking in the wilds. While this lodge feels remote, you are only around half an hour’s drive from all the fun and tourist attractions in Cape Town.

Rooms

There are just ten beautifully styled luxury suites and one magnificent 2-bedroom suite, taking inspiration from some of the most interesting islands from around the world. The 2-bedroom suite is close enough to the ocean that you can throw pebbles from your deck and hit the rock pools below.

The cabins housing the rooms are put together from wood and glass and nestle under milkwood trees on the edge of the ocean. Each room has a large deck floating just above the ocean, reached by sliding doors. You will be lulled to sleep by the mesmerizing views and the melody of the crashing waves below. Inside, fireplaces will keep you warm on cooler nights, the beds are large and superbly comfortable, and the showers are enormous.

Food & Drink

The restaurant here is particularly excellent with a contemporary tapas set menu of small plates for sharing in 4 courses. All ingredients are fresh, local, and sustainable, paying homage to the ocean. There is also a vegetarian menu. Dining at the unique oceanside location of Cape Town’s iconic boutique hotel on Chapman’s Peak Drive is unlike any other in the city, with the Atlantic ocean right below your table.
