We review the best Marriott hotels in Long Beach In Southern California including the best long beach club lounges. The Marriott brand includes Luxury Collection, EDITION, St Regis, W Hotels, and JW Marriott, as well as mid-range brands like Autograph Collection, Renaissance, Sheraton, Le Meridien, Design Hotels, and Westin.

In Long Beach, the Renaissance Hotel is probably your best Marriott choice as it has a pool and a club lounge, but consider the Newport Beach Marriott as an alternative and excellent choice in the area. The concierge lounge at the Newport Beach Marriott has really nice food and snacks, plus there have been reports of Platinum Bonvoy members being upgraded to Ocean View rooms with large balconies even though they have paid for the lowest level of room. Of course, this isn’t guaranteed!

1. Renaissance Long Beach Hotel

Immerse yourself in the lifestyle of Southern California at Renaissance Long Beach Hotel, which is a Rewards Category 5 Marriott Bonvoy hotel. Explore downtown attractions, including the Long Beach Convention Center and the Aquarium of the Pacific, just minutes from your room.

The hotel has a dark but stylish interior and fun glass-sided lifts. From the lift, you look down at the sunbathing deck with blue parasols, a fairly generic rectangular pool, and a little round pool, both framed by palm trees. While this sounds rather idyllic, the pool area is next door to a big busy road, so do not expect a resort atmosphere. This is very much a city hotel.

There’s a popular lobby restaurant, SIP, and you can enjoy cocktails prepared by their mixologists and sample mouthwatering ocean-to-fork dining. Unwind with a workout or a swim, followed by drinks on their third-floor deck offering views of the Pacific Ocean and the legendary Queen Mary.

Rooms have plush bedding and Wi-Fi and are excellent, clean, and quiet. If you face in one direction, you can actually see the dock and the boats from the window in your nice but cookie-cutter room.

The club lounge is the best in Long beach. It is located on the 11th floor with great views, and rooms on the 11th and 12th floors have access. Within the lounge, you will have Snacks (like banana chips and pretzels) and non-alcoholic drinks, including bottled water, Pepsi, Diet-Pepsi, 7-UP, coffee, tea, etc.

There’s a breakfast buffet with fruit juices and a full hot and cold breakfast buffet, including hot egg and bacon dishes. In the evening, there are appetizers and a buffet, plus beer and wine.

2. Westin Long Beach

Westin Long Beach is a Rewards Category 5 Marriott Bonvoy hotel in Long Beach located in downtown, near the convention center.

Rooms feature the Westin Heavenly® Bed, and many also offer calming views of the ocean. Maintain your health at the WestinWORKOUT® Fitness Studio or enjoy a swim in the outdoor pool.

Satisfy your palate with California Coastal cuisine and craft cocktails at Navy Proof Food & Spirits. While this and the Renaissance are the most expensive and luxurious Marriotts in Long Beach (as they are a higher rewards category and usually more expensive on points, too), The Westin doesn’t have an executive club lounge while the Renaissance does.

3. Long Beach Marriott

Long Beach Marriott is a Marriott Bonvoy Rewards Category 4 Marriott and has a resort-like atmosphere and convenient location on Long Beach. Rooms have luxurious Marriott Revive bedding, flat-screen HDTVs, and sleek new décor just minutes from the beaches and top corporations.

The interiors are modern and stylish with warm colors, and many rooms have views over the tropical pool, which is really nice. There is a wonderful furnished patio outside where you can enjoy a bite under the stars.

Business travelers will find the proximity to corporations, including Boeing and Gulfstream, convenient. Tourists will like that the hotel is just a short drive to Disneyland, CSU Long Beach, and Dignity Health Sports Center.
