Wow, you did not want to be on this flight!

Last Sunday an ALK Airlines Boeing 737-300 flight from Pristina in Kosovo to Basel Mulhouse, with 121 people on board, encountered severe turbulence at 34,000 feet. The pilots were deviating around a thunderstorm and eventually landed safely.

The footage is shocking and 10 passengers were hospitalized on arrival.

When the incident occurred, the seat belt sign was on, but the crew had not been ordered to sit.

Turbulence happens whatever airline you fly on. We covered the terrifying turbulence on Delta and have also detailed why your plane’s wings are unlikely to snap off in extreme turbulence.
