Jet Airways grounded all its flight operations on Wednesday following reported spiraling debt and no funding. The airline had been running to 25 years and is the second largest in India, but this week saw its demise.

Jet Airways had to ground all flights as it had no money left to pay for essentials like fuel to get its planes into the air.

The last Jet Airways Flight to take flight, flight number 9W2502 pushed back from a terminal gate at the Amritsar airport and took off for Mumbai. This was the very last time a Jet Airways flight will take to the skies for the foreseeable future.

Jet Airways is the seventh Indian airline to terminate operations in the last five years. Many passengers have been frantically trying to find out whether their flights will happen, and it’s 20,000 employees. They can only hope for a bailout, or they may have to start looking for a new job.
