The Brando is where Pippa Middleton and her new husband luxuriated for their honeymoon in French Polynesia. This island, named after Marlon Brando, who bought the island in 1967, is far from the crowds and a top spot for vacationing celebrities due to the luxury service and unbeatable privacy.
Probably the least private of the islands below is the Four Seasons Lanai which is placed at number 10. This is one of our favourites at Luxury Travel Diary – it is a truly magical resort, but it is also a large hotel on a private island rather than an exclusive retreat where you are on your own. Because I am not a rock star and the paparazzi have no interest in me, I quite enjoy the people watching here and not being alone! This resort is on an isolated island, but you won’t feel isolated here.
