The order of the day here is total relaxation, so you will be warmly welcomed upon your arrival, given a gift of fresh local fruit to enjoy, and shown to your villa. After this, you will be left in peace and quiet, with the exception of housekeeping, who will keep your villa looking its best at all times. Hotel staff are, however, contactable whenever needed and are on the premises from 8:00 am – 7:00 pm daily.
Rooms
The family villa has 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a living area, and a patio, while the couples villa has 1 double and 1 single bedroom, 1 bathroom, a living area, a veranda, and a private plunge pool. Guests staying in the family villa can enjoy swimming in the stunning infinity pool. Both villas are decorated in beautifully simple, contemporary Balinese style, with luxurious finishes throughout. All bedrooms have queen-sized beds, while towels, bathrobes, and toiletries are all provided, as well as barbeque equipment and utensils. Positioned on a hillside, the outlook of both villas is serene and beautiful, with views over the lush, tropical landscape.
Restaurant and Bar
Balik Kampung provides breakfast for guests, with simple food including fresh fruit, cereals, and eggs on offer. There is no hotel restaurant, although there are a few eateries in the vicinity, such as the Thai Fish Farm Restaurant. Guests can, however, buy their own food in local shops and prepare it at the villa, where barbeque facilities are available. If you really feel like getting back to nature, you can even catch your own supper in the fishing pond! On the other hand, for a change of pace, all the nightlife of Kuala Lumpur is just half an hour away, so whether it’s street food or fine dining you’re after, you can find it all nearby.
Pool and Activities
Each villa has its own pool – a plunge pool for the couple’s villa and an infinity pool for the family villa. If you’re really looking to unwind, simply lie back and enjoy the sounds of nature all around you. If you fancy being a little more active, there’s excellent golf in the area, while nearby Gunung Nuang is a popular hiking spot. While Balik Kampung may be the perfect haven, its proximity to Kuala Lumpur means that you really can have the best of both worlds in one trip, and take a day off from relaxing to enjoy everything the city has to offer!
