DFDS Newcastle to Amsterdam mini cruises depart daily from Newcastle and are ideal for weekend getaways and short city breaks, combining the leisure of ferry travel with the excitement of Holland’s cosmopolitan capital.

​The mini cruise package includes the crossing itself and your ensuite accommodation onboard as well as coach transfers from IJmuiden port to the city of Amsterdam where you’ll have ample time to take in some local sights and attractions.

Onboard facilities include the Sky Bar where you can enjoy a drink outdoors with panoramic sea views. ORCA officers will be onboard with plenty of activities including games, as well as deck watching to see if you can spot any local marine life. Whilst onboard, why not take in a movie at the onboard cinema or make a few purchases in the shop.

In terms of dining, there are a range of dining options to choose from: the Explorer’s Kitchen buffet restaurant which boasts international cuisine; while the North Sea Bistro offers an à la carte experience.

Once you arrive in Amsterdam, there’s so much to see, from galleries and museums, to high street and boutique shopping. There are novelty attractions such as Madame Tussauds, where you can get a snap with your favourite celebrity. Or if you enjoy the outdoors then visit Vondelpark, an enormous park in the south of the city.

The winner and their guest will be staying in seaview ensuite cabin with bunk beds, wardrobe, bathroom, bedding, towels and mirror electrical outlet (European standard).
