AirBolt is not the first smart lock for your luggage, but the first true lock for your luggage. There’s no longer any need to carry keys or combinations, track your luggage, alerts and more.

Designed for use on checked baggage (but it can be used anywhere you need to lock your belongings safely), this rope-based lock uses Bluetooth technology to let you lock and unlock it with nothing but an app. AirBolt is Bluetooth enabled, TSA accepted, offers crowd-sourced location tracking, proximity alerts, sharing and so much more.

The AirBolt will talk to your device via an App and unlock with a single push of a button, as long as you are the owner and your smart phone is within range of the AirBolt. To prevent accidental unlocking, the AirBolt will simply re-lock if the rope is not taken out of the locking mechanism.

The AirBolt goes above and beyond simply pair and unlock. Should you wish, you can protect your luggage further by adding a security pin to prevent unauthorised access by someone who just happens to have your phone. Handily, the AirBolt is TSA accepted as well.

You can set distance controls which alert you either via the app or by using the built-in buzzer on the AirBolt if you get separated from your luggage (also handy if someone is trying to run off with your luggage!). You can also set off an alarm manually if you can’t find your AirBolt or if your luggage is somewhere around, but you can’t find it. The alerts and range metre also mean you can stand back at the luggage carousel, while the other passengers push and shove trying to find their luggage, and simply wait for the app to tell you that your baggage is in range – you can simply walk up, collect it and off you go

The Crowdsourced Location Tracking allows you to see the last seen location of your luggage, which is particularly helpful if you’ve reached your destination from a multi-stopover flight and reduces the hassle in communicating and tracking your luggage with the airline staff. You may even be able to have your luggage returned to you much faster.

The AirBolt also has a great battery life, lasting multiple months per charge, so you never need to worry about flat batteries either (plus its rechargeable!).

Additional benefits of the AirBolt are that is has a history, so you know when and where your AirBolt was unlocked – in fact it even lets you know whether TSA has opened it and at what time!
