Discover the Ikurangi Eco Retreat, the Cook Islands only glamping hotel which lies in the capital of Rarotonga. This beautiful South Pacific island retreat offers views over the Takitumu Mountain ranges and comprises of four Luxury Safari Tents perched upon private timber decks as well as two Polynesian ‘Are’ Studios. Everything at the retreat is eco-conscious and based around the concept of causing as little impact or damage to the environment as possible.

Each of the tents are equipped with home comforts including a king-size bed, electricity, hot water and a bar fridge as well as all the amenities you would expect from a boutique hotel: luxury waffle robes, hair dryer, iron & ironing board, tea and local artisan coffee facilities and natural bathroom amenities from luxury NZ brand, Ashley & Co. Each tent features fully screened windows, pedestal fan, private ensuite with modern composting toilet and private outdoor rainmaker shower and outside your tent you will find a large timber deck area furnished with a table, sofa and chairs to relax in whilst enjoying a sun-downer. Each morning you will be greeted with a tropical breakfast delivered right to your door featuring a selection of fresh fruit, artisan breads and muesli – lovely!

There’s plenty to do on the island including: jeep safaris; touring the local Matutu brewery; open-air dining, bars and cafes and swimming at the lagoon-like Muri Beach to name but a few. The Ikurangi Eco Retreat also provides complimentary bicycles and snorkelling equipment to allow you to explore the wild side of the island, plus they can also arrange private yoga sessions in the gardens of Ikurangi.

The winner will be staying in a Luxury Safari Tent with canvas covered bedroom, luxurious outdoor bathroom and large timber outdoor deck with seating. Inside you will find a king bed (or two singles if requested), pedestal fan, bar fridge, electricity for charging electronics, hair dryer, iron & ironing board, complimentary tea and local artisan coffee facilities, safe, fully screened windows and ensuite with modern composting toilet and private outdoor hot water shower.

This auction item excludes flights and transport – you will need to arrange your own flights / transportation to and from your home to Ikurangi Eco Retreat, Rarotonga, Cook Islands to coincide with your booking.
