Ever dreamt of sleeping in a castle? Well, this is your chance to stay in a stunning French Chateau hotel near Paris and the Loire Valley in France. Chateau de la Barre lies less than 2 hours from Paris, making it perfectly located for visiting Chenonceau, Chambord or Amboise. There truly is no better way to royally experience the castles of the Loire Valley than as guests at this privately-owned boutique hotel, which has also been home to the family of Count and Countess de Vanssay for more than 610 years! A stay at this beautiful chateau combines refinement, authenticity and the understated luxury of a private chateau with all the essential modern comforts of a boutique hotel.

This luxury chateau hotel is the epitome of French elegance with an impressive 100-acre private park, romantic gardens surrounded by XVIth century fortifications, family chapel, and a magnificent collection of antiques, oil paintings and tapestries.

In terms of dining, elegant dinners are hosted twice a week at the chateau and the chateau wine cellar is home to 150 different French wines! The winner and their guest can enjoy a three-course brasserie style dinner served on the terrace or in the small dining room for €75 per person and they can choose a bottle to accompany their dinner from the Château wine cellar (for an additional charge). A generous English breakfast is served daily from 9h30 to 10h30 which features many local products and homemade jams (which costs €25 per person) and during the day, guests can take a picnic hamper into the chateau garden or on an excursion to the Loire Valley castles for €20 per person (picnics require 24 hours’ notice). Alternatively, there are a small number of gourmet restaurants within a 30km drive of the chateau.
