The capital, Valletta, is steeped in history, culture, style, art and technology and unsurprisingly it been nominated as a European Capital of Culture for 2018 and is also recognised as a UNESCO world heritage site.

Palazzo Consiglia is a traditional Maltese townhouse situated right in the heart of Valletta, just a few metres away from St Rocco’s Church and key attractions such as the Lower Barrakka Gardens, Valletta Waterfront and Fort Saint Elmo. The townhouse features a lavish entrance hall that reflects the welcoming ambience of this boutique hotel complete with marble floors, wall panelling and pretty teal hues throughout. There is a concierge and a discreet reception nestled under the stairwell which opens onto the spacious courtyard that’s characteristic of Maltese townhouses and an ideal location to enjoy breakfast or simply unwind with a book.

Guests can take full advantage of Malta’s incredible weather and abundance of sunshine on the roof terrace which enjoys spectacular views of Valletta and the Grand Harbour. The terrace features a bar, guests can enjoy breakfast there and there is also a mini pool, a reading nook, and a winter sundeck.

Beneath the townhouse you will find the Cantina, a top-quality wellness area where guests can enjoy luxurious spa treatments. This beautifully designed cellar also features a heated indoor pool / jacuzzi and steam room.

Palazzo Consiglia offers 13 beautifully designed and unique guestrooms. Each room is fitted with custom wallpaper, upholstery and headboards as well as stunning furniture pieces that have been sourced from Italy and Malta. Rooms feature rich oak hardwood floors, glass separations in bathrooms, large double-glazed windows to let the light in and soundproof walls and floors to ensure a peaceful night’s sleep. Each guest room is equipped with the latest technology including: energy efficient LED lighting, full HD 40-inch television with radio and 72 channels, Bluetooth speakers (which connect to the room’s sound system that’s also available in the bathroom) and USB charging ports on either side of the bed. Guest bathrooms offer all the amenities you would expect, including: hairdryers, anti-fogging mirrors and shaving outlets and some feature marble panelling and shower mixers. Rooms also enjoy a minibar, coffee machine, armchair, coffee table and some have balconies too.

A mouth-watering breakfast is available to all guests of Palazzo Consiglia, as well as a delectable choice of fresh platters and cold cuts for you to snack on.
