The Reef Villa & Spa lies in the small unspoilt seaside hamlet of Wadduwa on the south west coast of Sri Lanka, about 1.5 hours south of Bandaranaike International Airport and about 45 minutes south of Colombo

Reef Villa & Spa offers a touch of colonial antiquity, traditional Ceylon style and old world charm blended with discreet comfort and soothing surroundings. The Plantation House is the main building at the Reef Villa & Spa and features soaring ceilings, open terraces and lily ponds teeming with tropical fish. The hotel also boasts a beautiful infinity pool, manicured gardens and beautiful beach.

In terms of dining, hidden within the lush hotel gardens, lies the stylish, al fresco restaurant overlooking the Indian Ocean, twinkling garden lights and the azure blue pool. The restaurant offers exceptional quality dishes featuring the best of both International and Sri Lankan cuisine, all accompanied by a selection of fine wines and an impressive cocktail list. Guests can also choose to dine privately on their private veranda, enjoying the gentle sea breeze or in the tranquil surroundings of the Plantation House verandas.

In terms of relaxation, the Ayurveda Spa offers a gentle introduction to Ayurveda with traditional treatments such as Abhyanga massages, Pinda Sweda and Shirodhara, which have been designed to pamper guests and the garden spa features a herbal steam bath and a traditional Keralan droni massage bed.

The winner and their guest will be staying in the exquisite 90sqm. Lily Pond Suite set amongst the tropical lily ponds which can only be accessed by stepping stones across the water. This romantic suite offers the utmost privacy hidden amongst the foliage and flowers and features a sunken mosaic tiled jacuzzi with granite waterfall shower in a courtyard and a shaded veranda overlooking the lily ponds. Suite amenities include a 19th century four poster bed, ceiling punkah, air conditioning, satellite television, complimentary wifi, personalised mini bar fridge, fresh tea and coffee making facilities, dressing table and hairdryer, dressing gowns and complimentary slippers, safe and an ensuite with large free standing granite bathtub, indoor shower and luxury Kama Ayurveda bathroom amenities.
