L`Hotel de Cours de Thomazeau was built in 1770 on the footprint of the early medieval fortified chateau and designed by Louis Victor (famed for the Bordeaux opera house). This lovely historic monument and magical chateau lies in the heart of the medieval bastide town of Castillonnès in France, just 20 minutes south of Bergerac. Now renovated into a gracious private hotel by the current owners, it features soaring ceilings and chandeliers, an underground gallery and spring, and elegant furniture and antiques throughout, making it a truly a wonderful destination for an exclusive, French luxury bed and breakfast stay.

Throughout the year L`Hotel de Cours de Thomazeau hosts many cultural and entertainment events in its numerous reception rooms and staff speak both English and French.

The hotel can also offer evening meals, only available with advanced booking.

Rooms in this grand townhouse offer elegance, comfort and a little French ‘je ne sais quoi’. All of them feature private bathrooms, safe, access to high-speed wifi and breakfast served in the dining room at a time to suit you! Rooms also benefit from access to a mini bar located just outside your room, along with tea and coffee making facilities and there is a TV in the communal sitting room.
The winner and their guest will be staying in either the Aliènor or Blue Horizons Rooms. The large Aliènor Room features a king-size bed and fabulous contemporary bathroom with separate shower, bath and bidet. It has its own wing, views of the courtyard and quiet street, and is approached by the grand staircase. Blue Horizons is a beautiful bright room with 3 double windows overlooking the valley with a 180cm wide bed that ensures a blissfully comfortable night.
