    Enjoy a 3-night stay for 2 guests staying in The Hambleden Suite at Little Garonga in the Garonga Safari Camp in the beautiful Makalali Private Nature Reserve which lies west of Kruger National Park in South Africa. Stay includes: all meals, teas, coffees and drinks (including house wines); game drives and bush walks; sleep-out experience (weather dependent); bush bath; picnics (summer only); laundry and complimentary wifi. Stay is valued at approximately 53,130 ZAR / £3,145 GBP / $4,375 USD*.

    Please note the winner and their guest will have to pay 220 ZAR (approx. £13.05 GBP / $18.20 USD) per person, per day, for the Conservation levy (Park Entry fee and Anti-Poaching fee) which will be added to the invoice for pre-payment. Note: the levies are due to increase from 01 November 2018 to 250 ZAR (approx. £14.85 GBP / $20.70 USD) per person, per day. Please also note the winner and their guest will be responsible for paying for any additional purchases separately including, but not limited to: curios, telephone calls, massage treatments, special wine and champagne, micro-light flights, and travel arrangements / road transfers to and from the lodge.
    Prize stay dates: to be booked in advance and taken before 28 February 2020, excluding stays over Christmas and New Year (17 December to 10 January), subject to availability.

    Garonga Safari Camp and Little Garonga are exclusive, luxury safari camps set in 60,000 acres of the Greater Makalali Private Nature Reserve. The Makalali Conservancy is a private Big Five nature reserve in the Limpopo Province of South Africa, about 90 minutes drive from Phalaborwa and Hoedspruit airports, just west of the Kruger National Park. Garonga’s holistic philosophy is to offer a ‘safari for the soul’, an unhurried and intimate wildlife encounter, with time to reflect and find inspiration from nature.

    Garonga Safari Camp and Little Garonga offer morning and sunset game drives with experienced guides to give visitors the opportunity to encounter the incredible game that call this conservancy ‘home’.

    The winner and their guest will be staying at Little Garonga, which has three fully en-suite, thatched and air-conditioned suites, all situated around centralised indoor/outdoor lounge areas, swimming pool and built-in braai/BBQ area. Each suite has its own platform deck, complete with hammock. The camp is north-facing, allowing sunlight to stream in and its prime location affords some truly magnificent views of the reserve. The camp has its own host, chef, waiter and housekeeper so is totally self-contained and run separately from Garonga Safari Camp.
    Breakfast can be taken on the Breakfast Deck, lunch inside the Main Lounge, and dinner either outside on the Swimming Pool Deck by the fire or inside the Main Lounge. The Boma is at the Safari Camp, a short walk away, where guests occasionally have dinner. The Boma comes complete with a bar and fireplace and it’s a relaxed setting for guests to dine under the stars.

    To help guests to rejuvenate, they can visit the Massage Sala at the Garonga Safari Camp (5 minutes walk from Little Garonga), where the resident therapist is available full-time. The beautiful “”Sala”” is set overlooking the riverbed.

    And for a truly magical experience guests can enjoy a “”Sleep Out””, this takes place on a viewing deck with a four-poster bed where guests can enjoy a private dinner and spend the night alone in the bush: a not-to-be-missed experience!

    The winner and their guest will be staying in the Hambleden Suite, an exclusive private villa complete with a raised deck, two separate rooms, its own swimming pool, private covered indoor/outdoor lounge areas and a huge bathroom with a beautiful hand beaten copper bath tub and indoor/outdoor showers. The suite has its own mini-bar, and is fully air-conditioned. In terms of relaxation guests can enjoy: the Bush Bath, an outdoor bath set overlooking the surrounding landscape, where you can relax with a glass of wine to the sounds of the bush from the comfort of a warm bubble bath!

No cash alternative is available. This auction item excludes flights and transport – you will need to arrange your own flights / transportation to and from your home to Garonga Safari Camp and Little Garonga, Makalali Private Nature Reserve, West of the Kruger National Park, South Africa to coincide with your booking. Your stay is subject to availability, must be booked in advance and taken before 28 February 2020, excluding stays over Christmas and New Year (17 December to 10 January).
