The River Club is a charming oasis on Zambia’s magnificent Zambezi River, situated 18km upstream from the town of Livingstone and the renowned Victoria Falls World Heritage Site and one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World.
This boutique, owner-run luxury lodge is Livingstone’s premier destination on the Zambezi River, offering genuine hospitality, commitment to the local community, total peace and tranquillity, and the opportunity to create amazing lasting memories.
The Club features eleven spacious and private elevated suites nestled in the trees, overlooking the mighty river with its pods of hippo lazing about in the sunshine on the edge of the Zambezi National Park. The River Club is a fantastic destination for honeymooners, those on a safari circuit and families with children 6 and up, offering spacious family accommodation and extensive gardens to explore. A host of activities await young and old, on the property as well as around the Victoria Falls.
The River Club boasts a beautiful infinity pool where you can relax with something chilled, the elegant main verandah with stunning views of abundant wildlife, an Edwardian dining area servicing exquisite cuisine, a games room to chill out in, or why not sip sundowners on an evening cruise following an afternoon game of tennis or read a book on your private deck with truly unrivaled views.
The winner and their guest(s) will be staying in River Suite positioned on the banks of the Zambezi River, offering seclusion and unimpeded views of the mighty Zambezi. Each River Suite is split level, featuring a sitting area with spectacular views over the river through full-length glass doors, which can be opened onto the private balcony to enjoy the fresh air and the sunset. Swathed in a walk-in mosquito net, guests will enjoy either one Empire King Bed or twin single beds. The suite enjoys two bathrooms; a shower, basin, and toilet upstairs, and full bathroom downstairs (shower, basin, ball & claw bath, and toilet). There are overhead fans above the beds, air-conditioning units (cool/warm), digital safe, hairdryer, minibar fridge, and tea/coffee making facilities. In the event of power outages, each room has 24/7 mains back-up in the form of an inverter/solar battery system that runs the overhead fan, as well as certain lights and plug sockets.
