Chosen as the most romantic place on the island and as a taste of paradise on earth, Hotel Tugu Bali is a place where, upon entering, you are transported to the most romantic times of Bali. Nestled on the pristine sunset beach of Canggu, surrounded by whispering rice fields and adjacent to the Batu Bolong Temple, Hotel Tugu Bali was built from a passion for the romantic beauty of the art, history, and culture of Bali and Indonesia. A vast collection of priceless Indonesian antiques and artworks adorn the hotel, blending pure tropical luxury with an out-of-the-ordinary ambiance.

Hotel Tugu Bali features suites with ocean or garden views, indoor or outdoor baths along with beautiful artworks all immersed in private tropical surroundings. The award-winning Waroeng Djamoe Spa is where guests can indulge in centuries-old Indonesian massages and palatial beauty treatments. Simply drift away in a bathtub beneath layers of velvety floral softness or experience authentic Balinese and Javanese treatments on hundred-year-old massage beds that were once used for rice storage. The hotel is also opening the new Guan Yin Yoga Shala with natural breezes from the ocean to help guests find bliss and wellbeing for body and soul through yoga, meditation, mindfulness, and breathing exercises.

In terms of dining, Tugu Cultural Dining can be found inside the hotel, which offers authentic Indonesian food and a journey of culinary adventure across the Indonesian archipelago. Some of the highlights are Balinese Rajadom (Royal Dining Feast of the Balinese Kingdoms), Royal Tugudom (Grand Ceremonial Dining of Majapahit Kingdom) or Grand Rijstaffel (Dutch era Smorgasbord), a rich multi-course cultural dining experience presented with theatrical performance that will give you a real taste of elegant imperial Indonesian dining. For a more casual setting, Waroeng Tugu or Megibung dining is an exotic occasion and lifestyle experience from the Javanese and Balinese people, reflecting how they ate in the comfort of their own homes in times gone by. Finally, Ji Terrace by the sea, which serves a fusion of ancient and contemporary Asian cuisine, is found within the Ji Restaurant, with open skies and 180 degrees undisturbed views across the sparkling Indian Ocean and Canggu Beach.

In terms of accommodation, the hotel features Villas and Suites. Each room is individually created by the owner, displaying immaculate attention to detail to provide a perfect marriage of color, texture, and atmosphere with a wonderfully eclectic collection of antiques from all over Asia, capturing the vibrant spirit, artistic passion, and romance of Indonesia.

The winner and their guest will be staying in the Dedari Suite or Rejang Suite. The Dedari and Rejang Suites are far from being standard suites, each one has been decorated with different artworks and color schemes. However, all have exotic luxuries such as oversized beds scattered with fresh petals at night, silvered local artisan’s sunken baths, private plunge pools, and private in-room spa areas. All the Rejang Suites also have a view of the sunset over the Indian Ocean.
