Enjoy a 3-Day, 2-Night stay for up to 2 guests staying in a Deluxe Room Single or Double Room at SOUKYA International Holistic Health Centre, Bangalore, India, including drinks (fresh fruit juices and tea), all meals and accommodation, valued at approximately $1,980 USD / £1,475 GBP* (inclusive of charges, however the winner and their guest will have to pay for any additional treatments).

SOUKYA International Holistic Health Centre is situated in Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka in South India (about 50 minutes from the airport). It’s known for its warm climate throughout the year as it is located 900m above sea level. The area features lush greenery with flowering trees in bloom right through the year, which has earned the city the title of ‘The Garden City of India’ and it’s also known as the ‘Silicon Valley of India’, making this cosmopolitan young city a very popular destination.

SOUKYA is the first holistic healing sanctuary in the world to combine the best ancient medical practises with modern curative sciences to help restore the natural balance of your mind, body and spirit. The unique facility treats medical and wellness conditions (including rare diseases) by integrating traditional and time-tested systems of medicine such as Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Yoga and Naturopathy and over 30 complementary therapies like Reflexology, Acupressure, Acupuncture and Dietetics. The emphasis is on the promotion of health using preventive medicine and the treatment of illnesses to ensure guests emerge with true health.
SOUKYA is owned and managed by world renowned holistic health practitioner Dr. Mathai who has treated guests from over 90 countries and it is also host to some of the best medical doctors and Therapies from around the world. SOUKYA is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘Soukhyam’ which means wellbeing and a harmonious state of mind, body and spirit.

The exclusive residential facility lies on a 30-acre certified organic eco-friendly farm and has been built in a traditional Indian architectural style with South Indian inner courtyards. Each structure has been built to promote wellness of the mind, body and spirit. The 25 spacious rooms with private gardens provide the comfort of space.

Yoga, Breathing, Meditation and Relaxation techniques are taught by Naturopathic doctors at the traditional Yoga and Meditation Hall which is open-air circular structure. The aesthetically designed facility with serene environment has brought in over 100 species of birds including rare ones and the organic gardens with over 800 fruit trees, vegetables, aromatic and herbal plants provide a great place for study and introspection. In total SOUKYA has 3,000 trees with avenues of over 500 flowering trees that ensures something is in bloom throughout the year. The medicinal garden within the property has close to 300 ayurvedic medicinal plants and herbs which provides 80% of the ingredients for in-house production of ayurvedic oils and medicine under the supervision of Ayurvedic doctors.

An individualised ovo-vegetarian diet is created based on the principles of low fat, low salt and low spice intake, using handpicked ingredients from the organic farm. In addition, cooking demonstrations are conducted as an activity to increase awareness on healthy eating.
The amenities at the facility include a 2km Walking Track, Swimming pool, Library, shuttle court and other indoor games. Talks by doctors on Health & Wellness, Medicinal garden tours by Ayurvedic doctors, bird watching, Moon Meditation and Classical Cultural Programmes all enhance the Wellness experience. One can experience a holistic way of living at this smoking and alcohol-free property through their eco-friendly practices like solar power, solar water heating, rainwater harvesting, organic farming, biogas and vermicomposting and pest control.

The winner will be staying in a Deluxe Double or Single Room with a private garden attached and outdoor deck where you can practice yoga or sunbathe. All rooms are tastefully decorated in a style that combines the best of tradition with contemporary flourishes. The rooms feature separate dressing areas and spacious bathrooms with separate bathtub and shower areas.

No cash alternative is available. This auction item excludes flights and transport – you will need to arrange your own flights / transportation to and from your home to SOUKYA International Holistic Health Centre, Bangalore, India to coincide with your booking. Your stay is subject to availability, must be booked in advance and taken between 01 March – 31 July 2018. Winners must pay for their auction item in full via Paypal within 48 hours of the auction end, otherwise Luxury Travel Diary Ltd. reserves the right to offer the auction item to the next highest bidder with immediate effect. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Luxury Travel Diary will not be liable for any loss or damage arising out of the winners’ use or enjoyment of the prize; and the winner acknowledges that Luxury Travel Diary accepts no responsibility whether directly or indirectly for any claims whatsoever arising in respect of the prizes provided by third party providers or sponsors.
