The iconic Sofitel Legend The Grand Amsterdam hotel is where heritage meets modernity. Situated between two canals, right in the heart of historical Amsterdam, the hotel offers five star luxury, lavish rooms furnished with French elegance and grandeur, a beautiful garden terrace and delicious culinary creations in the Michelin star restaurant: Bridges or the garden bistro: Oriole. Numerous bars, restaurants and attractions lie just a short stroll from the hotel, including: Dam Square, Madame Tussauds, de Bijenkorf, the Anne Frank House, Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum.

The hotel boasts an indoor heated pool, Sofitel FITNESS, Sofitel SPA, Hammam and sauna. The hotel can also arrange boat trips on Amsterdam’s canals and bike rental to explore the city on two wheels.

In terms of dining there are two restaurants and three bars and lounge areas to choose from: Bridges is a Michelin starred (fish) restaurant serving international cuisine, while Oriole serves delicious Mediterranean cuisine in a casual, laid-back garden bistro setting. In terms of bars, The Flying Dutchman brown café offers refreshing draft beers and a range of malts and whiskeys served by knowledgeable bartenders; the Library ‘Or’ offers afternoon teas in a relaxing environment, and finally the tranquil private garden with terrace is Amsterdam\’s best-kept secret and an oasis of calm away from the city\’s bustle where they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner (weather permitting).

The winner and their guest will be staying in a 484 sq.ft. Junior Suite with butler service and garden, canal or courtyard views. The suite features a king size Sofitel MyBed, air conditioning, complimentary wifi, mini bar, Nespresso machine, HD TV and bathroom with bathtub with TV and walk-in rainfall shower along with Hermès bath amenities.
