Enjoy an amazing 2-night safari stay for 2 guests in a Luxury Safari Tent at Cottar’s 1920’s Safari Camp & Cottar’s Bush Villa which lies right next to the Masai Mara game reserve in Kenya, valued at approximately $2,936 USD / £2,283 GBP*.

Stay Includes: Full board accommodation, Drinks (Water, juice, tea and coffee, all house wines, spirits, beers & soft drinks), Laundry, Safari activities (bush walks, day & night game drives, bush meals & sundowners), Cottar’s Maasai Warrior School, Transfers to cultural visits, All statutory taxes (approx. 25%) including VAT, Cottar’s private airstrip and Keekorok airstrip transfers.

Stay Excludes: conservation fees ($116 USD per adult per day) which goes directly to the Olderkesi Conservancy; Maasai cultural village entry fee ($25 USD per person per visit), Massage and Spa treatments (from $50 USD per hour), Luxury drinks (champagne and other top shelf drinks) and Exclusive use of vehicle ($330 USD per day).

Cottar’s 1920’s Safari Camp is situated in a timelessly unspoiled setting with sunset views stretching to distant horizons of the Masai Mara and the Serengeti plains which are covered in boundless game. Created by Calvin and Louise Cottar in the mid-nineties, the camp has its own 7,000-acre private Olderkesi Conservancy and is situated one kilometre from the Masai Mara game reserve. The location provides easy access for day and night game drives to the Masai Mara game reserve and the conservancy, game walks, and cultural interactions with the Masai community.

The camp has 10 luxurious tents in total (one unique honeymoon tent, five double tents and four family suites), all with private ensuite bathrooms and stunning views. The entire camp is situated to ensure that tents are private and quiet whether for couples or families with young children.

The camp has two main mess tent areas for fine dining, drinking, reading and relaxing. An exciting new addition is an amazing pool and spa area where guests can relax after a game drive. Guests can also enjoy a safari bath or safari shower, specifically set up in the savannah should they wish for a genuinely unique way of bathing!

The camp is also proud to offer highly qualified guides and they have the highest number of Gold (the highest professional level) Safari Guides within one camp in Kenya. All of their guides are chosen for their unique skill set, great personalities and a full understanding of the Cottar’s guiding ethos.

Your stay is subject to availability, must be booked in advance and taken between 03 January – 31 May 2018 or 01 June – 30 June 2018. Winners must pay for their auction item in full via Paypal within 48 hours of the auction end, otherwise Luxury Travel Diary Ltd. reserves the right to offer the auction item to the next highest bidder with immediate effect.
