Smart Turnout London was created by Philip Turner after serving for many years in the Scots Guards. He was asked to produce Scots Guards regimental jumpers after many of his friends saw his great racing colours that he personally designed for himself to wear at the Grand Military Annual Horserace at Sandown Racecourse. Subsequently he expanded this enterprise into something much bigger and from this Smart Turnout London was created.

‘Smart Turnout’ is in fact a regimental term, meaning ‘to look your absolute best, and have a stylish appearance about one’s self’, whilst the logo is actually a personal family crest and the two combine to reflect the quintessentially British nature of Smart Turnout.
