In our series of articles reviewing the best executive club lounges in Hong Kong’s luxury hotels, I review Intercontinental Hong Kong, Club Intercontinental Executive Lounge. Of note, there are two Intercontinental hotels in Hong Kong. The main “Intercontinental Hong Kong” is the flagship property and the better of the two properties. The other Intercontinental is the Grand Stanford. This is the review of the Club Lounge at the flagship Intercontinental Hong Kong.

The Club Intercontinental is located on the first floor of Intercontinental Hong Kong, unlike the Four Seasons Hong Kong Executive Lounge, The Grand Hyatt Club Lounge and the ICON Hong Kong Club Lounge which are at the very top of their respective skyscrapers. Regardless of the floor, this lounge still offers stunning views over the lobby lounge, Victoria Harbour, and the Hong Kong skyline (see view pictured above).

The Club Lounge serves buffet breakfast, a really great afternoon tea (impressive afternoon tea is a feature of many IC lounges; the one offered in the London Club Intercontinental is also impressive) and evening cocktails with Moet & Chandon champagne, premium wines, spirits and tempting hors-d’oeuvres (cheeses and canapes).

Club InterContinental guests also enjoy personalized check-in and check-out service, dedicated Club concierge service, high-speed Wi-Fi Internet access, and complimentary two-hour use of the Stanford conference room (subject to availability).

Food
The breakfast (served 6:30 – 11:00 am) is a large buffet with a high-quality array of produce, including huge chunks of cooked salmon, meats like crispy bacon, cheeses, cereals, and a massive array of fruit and bread, along with a la carte options which included eggs any way you like and even a mini steak!.

Afternoon tea (served 3:00 – 5:00 pm) is also excellent, with an array of tasty sandwiches (egg, chicken, ham), cakes, scones, and cream, as well as an outstanding selection of teas and very good coffee options. Everything you could want regarding cold beverages is available, including sparkling and still waters, cokes, juices, etc.

In the evening, the food offering (served 6:00 – 8:30 pm) is also excellent and easily makes up a full evening meal. Offerings include cold cheese, meat, vegetables, hot spring rolls, satay, lamb, canapes and cocktails, beer, wine, spirits, and champagne.

Complimentary drinks and snacks are served throughout the day, and a wide selection of newspapers and magazines is available.

This lounge is accessible to customers who book a Club Room at Intercontinental Hong Kong, or you can usually pay to upgrade to club access, which is well worth it in this expensive city.
