Finally, there is an airport lounge at London City Airport. This “First Class Lounge” does, however, come in at the hefty price of £95 GBP per person (Children aged 0-2 years travel free). The main reason for the high price tag is that this is not simply a lounge. This is an “experience” taking you from kerb to the aircraft steps.

So what is noteworthy about this lounge experience? Just recently, having been refurbished, this petite lounge seats 18 passengers. The food offering looks to be limited to cold snacks from pictures, although hot and cold drinks are available. The location of this lounge is located in the heart of the Private Jet Centre Facility, home to the high-end luxury traveler.

Passengers departing will be collected from the terminal or airport car park and transported directly to the lounge, where there is a (probably limited) selection of food and refreshments. If you are traveling with hold luggage, they will check in, tag, and transport all your baggage for you. You will even avoid the usual security as City Airport supplies a dedicated and discreet security team, so you can avoid other queuing passengers. On leaving the lounge, you will be escorted to the aircraft’s steps for your flight in the comfort of a private chauffeured drive to your aircraft.

You can also book the lounge on arrival. Arriving passengers are immediately collected with their luggage and driven to the lounge, where customs and immigration are on site. With no queues to contend with, your journey back into the heart of London will be fast and efficient. Once processed, you can have full use of the lounge, where the team will arrange for you take you to the car parks, to arrange a taxi to central London, or to be dropped off at the DLR station, where you can be in the city of London in less than 30 minutes (these transport services are at additional cost).
