Style & Character

The rooms and grounds of this extraordinary Art Hotel have an Alice in Wonderland, fantastical feel, filled with paintings and sculptures created by Anna, who runs this boutique gem. The lobby is stunning, also adorned with Anna’s whimsical art, where classical jazz plays and the sweet Tuscan breeze flows through.

Service & Facilities

The service throughout is exceptional. Expect to be directed to the absolute best of Tuscany, whatever your tastes. Within the hotel, activities are, unsurprisingly, based on art. Tours include Art & Pleasure, Art & Food, and Art & Sense, all incorporating cultural tours. Art & Food includes a cooking class where you learn the art of cooking with an expert Chef and take a tour around the best vineyards for wine tasting with a local expert. Art & Sense includes massage in your room or in the open air, under a gazebo with a view of the Tuscan hills and cradled by the sweet breeze.

Rooms

There are three types of rooms, each one is an artwork, and each one is named after artists who changed art history. As a guest, you are considered part of the artwork experience. All rooms are furnished with air conditioning, a private bathroom with shower, hairdryer, minibar, and flat-screen TV, and rooms are reached through the gardens as each has its own independent entrance.

Views overlook the green hills and garden, which is lit up by hundreds of lights at night. Deluxe Double Rooms are generously wide (20 m), Junior Suites are very spacious, with a small lobby or a living room, and Suites are the biggest rooms, comparable, by dimension, to a real apartment.

Food & Drink

If the weather is mild, you will be served a delightful breakfast outside under a canopy held by eight sculptures. If the weather is less generous, you eat inside on tables and chairs, all made by Anna. The breakfast itself is simple yet delicious – fresh coffee and juice; brioches; yogurt; fresh salami and prosciutto; fruit; and homemade chocolate cake with raspberry marmalade.

Conclusion

It is impossible not to fall in love with Residenza d’Arte. Whether it is the magical gardens, the beautiful interiors, the playful artwork, the warmth of your hosts, or simply reconnecting with nature, this magical place is a very special hideaway.
