Book A Hotel

There are many reasons to visit Stockholm, from discovering its medieval past in Gamla Stan; joining the nobility in The Stadshuset (City Hall); immersing yourself in the art world at the Moderna Museet and National Museum, experiencing their drinking culture on the water in one of their many bar-boats; staying more traditional by visiting the Gondolen bar at the top of the historic Katarina lift with its panoramic views of Djurgården and the Riddarfjården; or simply just to delve further into the wonderful and unique Swedish cuisine (that no doubt your local IKEA store has whet your appetite for!?) – whatever the reason, Stockholm should be on your bucket list as it’s a wonderful destination.

Location

Residence Perseus Apartments are ideally located within walking distance of many of the sights such as Stortorget (the grand square), the Royal Palace, and the Nobel Museum as well as the modern city center and Södermalm, described by Vogue as one of the trendiest neighborhoods in the world. These beautiful luxury apartments are hidden within a 17th-century building in the historic part of the city known as Old Town, one of Stockholm’s most popular parts.

As well as all the reasons to visit Stockholm that I’ve already mentioned there are plenty more besides including great shopping, Gröna Lund, the Vasa museum and, dare I say it, the ABBA museum and the Old Town itself is worth taking the time to explore fully.

Style & Character

The beautiful Residence Perseus Apartments perfectly blend old and new with stunning features like beautiful traditional wooden flooring, beams, and struts, antique individual pieces of furniture, striking artwork (some apartments even have the original 17th-century ceiling murals on show, which are just exquisite) mixed with tasteful modern design and homely comforts. There truly is a charm about these modern, rustic, classic apartments that you simply don’t get with a large luxury hotel.

Rooms

Your accommodation choice comprises seven apartments that range in size from the ‘Delight’ studio apartment that sleeps two to one and two bedroom apartments that sleep from four to six guests, right the way up to their ‘Prestige’ apartment that sleeps an impressive ten guests and takes up an entire floor of the building.

Service & Facilities

All apartments except for ‘Delight’ have fully equipped kitchens, washing machines, and laundry facilities, and all of the apartments come with Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, iPod docking stations, and bathrooms with showers. In addition to all of this, ‘Prestige’ also boasts an iPad, grand piano, Jacuzzi tub, and conference room – should you need one?! Accessibility note: There is no lift in the building, but several of the apartments are situated on the ground floor, so if accessibility is a concern of yours, then it would be advisable to choose one of the lower apartments.

Food & Drink

Okay, so there is no restaurant or bar at the apartments, but when on holiday, who really wants to spend all their time in the hotel anyway? Stockholm is packed with fabulous eateries, gourmet restaurants, and wonderful watering holes, so simply step outside your front door and wander. Tip: Try Den Gyldene Freden, just 100 meters from the apartments. This restaurant has been around since 1722 and has more recently been honored with a Michelin “Bib Gourmand” award for its traditional Swedish dishes with a modern twist.

Conclusion

Whether you are traveling on business or you have the time to explore and discover the real Stockholm, the Residence Perseus Apartments give you an elegant and luxurious base from which to do it all.
