Wherever you decide to stay, book via our luxury travel concierge. Location

Ka’ana is the perfect base to discover the numerous attractions of the spectacular Cayo district, from horse riding to the ruins to canoeing at Barton’s creek. A “must-do” trip is to travel to the intriguing nearby Maya sites, including the Tikal and Caracol temples. More adventurous travelers can enjoy cave tubing into large underground cave chambers or zip-lining through the sub-tropical jungle canopy.

Rooms

Expect accommodation at Ka’ana Resort in pretty casitas or ultra-luxury hacienda-style private pool villas. Rooms have a modern, clean design with outdoor showers, deeply comfortable beds, and gorgeous little desserts left at turn down. All rooms have a private outdoor terrace with garden views, lush landscaping, high ceilings, and local works of art on the walls.

Service & Facilities

Cave tubing is easily one of the best experiences in this area. Go through town for the most delicious street-side rolled tacos, then out to the cave tubing rendezvous with your guide. Slip on your tube, headlamp, and a life jacket, then hike through the gorgeous rain forest for maybe a mile, after which you can float down a river while the guide tells you about the Mayan history with the caves and points out interesting wildlife and plants. The caves are stunning and are almost perfect enough to be part of a Disney ride. Only all the scenery is real!

Conclusion

Ka’ana Resort is in the depths of an enchanting and peaceful forest. You may be tempted to stay in the resort but push yourself into at least a morning of exploring. You will then feel justified in lounging by the pool or on your back porch with cocktails before dining on Belizean-style gourmet cuisine at La Ceiba Restaurant. You might find that this luxury jungle adventure is the perfect getaway!
