Book A Stay

This outstandingly designed 4-star hotel successfully perfectly blends into a mix of modern architecture, understated elegance, and traditional comfort.

Location

Design hotel ARCOTEL John F Berlin is located right in the heart of the trendy cultural district of “Berlin-Mitte” in this vibrant capital city. This 4-star-superior-hotel is centrally located between the famous Museumsinsel and Gendarmenmarkt, directly at the “Quartier am Auswärtigen Amt,” within walking distance to the famous Friedrichstraße and the “Unter den Linden” boulevard along with its many shops and restaurants.

Being located in the old East side of Berlin, you gain an appreciation of the architecture from the Cold War days when staying at this hotel. If you are looking for a hotel near Museum Island, this hotel could not be more perfectly located. The Berliner Dom is practically visible from the Arcotel John F’s front entrance.

Style & Character

The ARCOTEL John F Berlin offers modern decor with a stunning lobby with atmospheric lighting through the night. You will be inspired by the bespoke and unusual high-end furniture which was specially designed for the hotel. Colored lighting adds to the atmosphere and makes this hotel a little bit special.

Rooms

All 190 rooms, suites, and apartments have air conditioning, flatscreen TVs, and free Wi-Fi. The base rooms are not big, but they are certainly comfortable and well-designed enough to work well, even on a longer stay. The quietest rooms face away from the street, although all rooms are incredibly well soundproofed, so even street-facing rooms suffer from next to no street noise.

A highlight of this hotel is the interesting design touches, such as the green apples perched on a sculptural shelf on the wall. The exceptionally comfortable bed is memorable for its outlandishly big headboard. The bathrooms have huge shower areas for a sumptuous shower experience. The toiletries are also rather special, being from the Laura Hutton selection made in Germany and smelling amazing – the kind you want to buy online when you get home. If you request a room at the corner of the building, you will benefit from a larger three-part bathroom.

Service & Facilities

Other facilities include a Sauna, Spa & fitness room, as well as a car park.

Food & Drink

Great eating and shopping are just a few blocks away. The breakfast buffet at ARCOTEL John F Berlin is plentiful and buffet style, with comfortable seating and good service. Alternatively, there are plenty of nearby cafes that offer a great breakfast had breakfast.

Within the hotel, there are two options for the evening. The lobby bar, “Town,” opens daily from 1:00 pm and has really special mood lighting in the evenings. A Foreign Affairs restaurant is also open daily from noon to 3:00 pm and from 6:00 – 11:00 pm.

Conclusion

Things are not over the top in this hotel, but its funky design and friendly staff make it a fun choice, and somehow, you will find everything feels just right.
