Book A Hotel

Which are the best luxury hotels with executive club lounges in Brazil; Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Pernambuco, Recife, Vitoria, Agua Verde Curitiba, Rio Grande Do Sul, Guarulhos, Campinas, and São Bernardo do Campo?

The best club lounges in Brazil are in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. There is a Sheraton in Recife and in Pernambuco, but in the rest of Brazil, there are very few, if any, luxury hotels with club lounges.

Our top pick for the best luxury hotel in Brazil is Four Seasons Sao Paulo which is also one of the best Four Seasons in South America, but none of these hotels offer executive club lounges. Of course, there is no Four Seasons rewards program, but if you are a regular guest of the Four Seasons or even want to try this iconic brand for the first time, you can take advantage of loyalty style benefits at Four Seasons hotels for no extra cost by booking your next stay via our luxury travel concierge.

Most luxury hotels do not have executive club lounges or concierge floors, with lounges offering complimentary food and drink. It is worth picking a hotel with an executive club lounge so that you can benefit from all the free food and drink offered up in the lounge, as well as the luxurious rooms, setting, and service offered by these wonderful hotels.

The three best hotels with club lounges in Sao Paulo are listed below in positions 1 to 4. The 3 best hotels with club lounges in Rio de Janeiro are listed below in positions 5 to 8. The Sheraton Reserva do Paiva Hotel & Convention Center in Recife is listed in position 9, and the Vitoria Sheraton is listed in position 10. These are the best hotels with club lounges in Brazil.

1. InterContinental São Paulo

The InterContinental São Paulo is located in the Jardins area of the city which feels safe and is close to good restaurants, shops and the subway public transport system. The foyer is smart with a rough stone wall behind the reception and an interior design that reminds me of InterContinenal O2 in London which we have also reviewed.

The rooms are also similar to those at the London O2, modern and fairly generic but luxurious and large with a marble bathroom. There is a nice gym and a smart outdoor pool with seats around it, but the weather is not always suitable for using this facility.

The executive club lounge is smart with creamy and brown furnishings and can be found at the top of the building. Here, Club Room guests can enjoy breakfast, afternoon refreshments, and drinks and snacks during the evening happy hour. During this cocktail happy hour, expect plates of sandwiches, pizza, and veggies along with wine, beer, and sparkling wine but no Champagne.

You can see what we have experienced in terms of food and drink at the club lounge at InterContinental O2 in London and the club lounge at InterContinental Park Lane which will give you an idea of what to expect. This will undoubtedly be one of the best club lounges in the city, with a substantial hot and cold buffet and a la carte breakfast and evening canapes and alcoholic drinks.

2. Grand Hyatt São Paulo

Grand Hyatt São Paulo is nestled in the city’s vibrant business district, close to many of São Paulo’s top restaurants, shopping centers, and attractions. The area around the hotel feels fairly safe during the day and early evening. You can walk to the mall, World Trade Center, and to both the Morumbi and Berrini train stations, which offer services several times a day. To get around the city, you can take the subway into the city and walkabout.

Spacious rooms feature modern amenities and locally inspired décor. Enhance your stay with a Grand Suite, including a separate living area, Grand Club® access, and panoramic city views.

Find peace and tranquility in the heart of Brazil’s most populous city at Amanary Spa. Choose from various soothing facials, therapeutic massages, and invigorating body treatments to relax the mind and body. The facility features seven treatment rooms, a sauna, a heated indoor pool, and a fitness center.

A highlight of this hotel is the Grand Club® Lounge which is located on the 20th floor and provides comfort and convenience for guests of the Club and Suite categories. Along with high ceilings and breathtaking city views, the lounge offers complimentary continental breakfast, high-speed internet access, cocktails, and appetizers. Within the lounge, the continental breakfast and evening food is very good and better than most American Grand Hyatt club lounges. All drinks, including alcohol, are complementary.

Unwind after a busy day in São Paulo, or soak up the Brazilian sunshine at the pristine outdoor pool. Visit this urban oasis steps from your room, with relaxing lounge chairs, shady umbrellas, built-in fountains, and lush gardens.

3. Renaissance Sao Paulo

The Renaissance Sao Paulo Hotel is a luxury hotel located in the charming Jardins neighborhood, just a few steps away from the iconic Paulista Avenue. Multifunctional rooms and suites feature a flat-screen TV, high-speed Wi-Fi access, luxury bedding, and breathtaking views of Sao Paulo.

There’s a Wellness Floor with an excellent gym with great weightlifting and cardio, equipment, and an outdoor swimming pool. The Spa will refresh your body and mind during your stay, and you can fill up in their on-site restaurants.

This is easily one of the best Marriott Bonvoy hotels in Sao Paulo. Platinum members are reportedly often upgraded to corner rooms that offer stunning views across Sao Paulo from the bathtub and bedroom.

While there is security at this hotel, the area feels safe, and the hotel is close to nightlife and a quarter of an hour’s walk from MASP Museum and shopping malls with good and cafes and restaurants.

The executive lounge here is great, with a full breakfast seven days a week that includes eggs, cold cuts, cheese, pastries, a coffee machine, juices, yogurts, cans of soft drinks, and water. Hot dishes include fresh omelets made to order.

In the evening, happy hour with lots of hot and cold dishes, including Brazilian hot dishes, pasta, soup, chips, and salads. Free alcohol includes beer, wine, and sparkling wine.

4. Sheraton Santos

Sheraton Santos Hotel is a Rewards Category 3 Marriott Bonvoy hotel and is located in the heart of the city. Sheraton Santos Hotel features a skyway to the Praiamar Shopping mall, which comprises stores, restaurants, and entertainment options.

Only two blocks away is the city’s renowned 5-kilometer beachfront garden. Nearby are the Municipal Aquarium, the Mendes Convention Center, the Pelé Museum, and the Port of Santos, one of the busiest in Latin America.

With 212 rooms and suites, this hotel in Santos offers guests 5-star amenities, such as 24-hour room service, drinks at the Lobby Bar, and an authentic Portuguese restaurant. Exercise in the well-equipped fitness center, relax in the indoor pool and be pampered in the massage room.

This hotel has an executive club lounge, but there are no reviews or reports on how this lounge compares to other executive club lounges in Sao Paulo.

5. JW Marriott Rio de Janeiro

JW Marriott Hotel Rio de Janeiro has the best club lounge in Rio de Janeiro and is conveniently located on the beachfront. This Copacabana hotel features elegant rooms and suites, upscale amenities and a variety of dining.

The JW Marriott Rio offers a free towel and beach chair service for guests on Copacabana Beach. After a long day in Rio, visit the Moonlounge Rooftop Bar & Truck and indulge in international street food prepared with fresh and local ingredients.

Maintain your workout routine in the fitness center, located on the rooftop, or go for a swim in the rooftop pool.

Marriott Bonvoy Platinum and Titanium members can choose between the complimentary breakfast in either the hotel’s Executive Lounge or in the hotel restaurant. The restaurant’s buffet is almost always better than the breakfast in the executive club lounges.

That said, the breakfast at this lounge is fairly decent, with cut and whole fruit, cereals, bread, pastries and muffins, jams, sweets, cheeses, and cold cuts. There are also two heated dishes with scrambled eggs and bacon in one dish and chopped-up sausages and chip-style fried potatoes.

During the day, there is free tea and coffee from the machine, soft drinks from the fridge, and fruit, biscuits, and nuts.

In the evenings, the lounge offers complimentary wine and local beer as well as a couple of hot dishes, canapes, and desserts.

The look of the executive lounge is pretty nice for a lounge with a shiny wood floor, a triple-height ceiling, and an enormous triple-height window overlooking Copacabana Beach. There is a variety of seating, including wooden cafe-style tables and chairs, high tables with stools, and a bench with chairs with views out to the beach.

You can see what we have experienced in terms of food and drink at the club lounge at JW Marriott in London which will give you an idea of what to expect. This is undoubtedly one of the best club lounges in the city, with a substantial hot and cold buffet at both dinner and breakfast, plus evening canapes and alcoholic drinks.

6. Grand Hyatt Rio de Janeiro

Grand Hyatt Rio de Janeiro overlooks the natural reserve and has a spa retreat for relax and rejuvenation and inspired gastronomic options. Step out of the resort and explore Barra da Tijuca, one of the most exclusive areas in Rio, famous for paradisiac beaches and urban attractions.

This luxury 5-Star, 436 room oceanfront hotel is about 30 minutes drive from popular tourist attractions in Rio, but as a result, it provides less crowded beaches, safer surroundings, and beautiful views of the Ocean and Marapendi Lagoon.

This resort hotel offers sweeping views of the lagoon with mountains in the background. The beaches in this area are also less crowded, and to get into Rio, Uber and taxis are cheap.

The downside of this hotel is that the pool area is rather small, but there is a beach across the street, so you will not be short of places to sunbathe or swim. The poll area might be smallish for the resort’s size, but it is rather lovely, with lots of parasols, wood decking, and plenty of loungers. The beach here is absolutely stunning and wide, with a golden sand beach.

The rooms are fairly generic Hyatt, but they have nice views over the reserve’s greenery, the lagoon, and the beach.

The Grand Hyatt club lounge is excellent, with a huge balcony area with seats and tables on as well as plenty of seats inside too. The lounge looks out upon the verdant green reserve and the lagoons.

Breakfast is laid out on a large table backed by windows with fantastic views, so this is a fantastic place to help yourself to the buffet, which includes; cereals, yogurt, cut and whole fruit, cold cuts, cheese, smoked salmon, and olives. There are also hot bowls with scrambled eggs and bacon.

In the evening, there is a happy hour that offers complimentary wine and liquor, and appetizers. Food includes two hot items, one is soup, so this offering can be filling enough but is not a restaurant substitute in terms of variety or quality. Delivery of food and drinks is also reportedly slow.

While this lounge is pretty lovely in design with the big windows and balcony, and the food is good enough, you will probably need to eat out in the evenings.

7. Sheraton Grand Rio Hotel & Resort

Sheraton Grand Rio Hotel & Resort is a Rewards Category 4 Marriott Bonvoy hotel located between trendy Barra da Tijuca and famed Ipanema Beach.

The nice thing about this hotel is the colorful, tropical setting. There’s also a complimentary shuttle that will take you to local beaches, Leblon, and Rio Sul’s shops, which is needed as there isn’t anything much in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. In fact, you are unlikely to want to go for much of a walk due to a busy road and a nearby favela,

The renovated Sheraton Grand Rio Hotel & Resort is the city’s only beachfront resort with an extensive recreational area, spa, and amenities. Its lush, landscaped grounds are set above a white-sand beach fronting the tropical South Atlantic and flanked by towering mountains. Often, there is live music by the pool, guitar playing, and singing, which adds to the party atmosphere.

There is a pizza place on the grounds by the pool, and they have a BBQ buffet which is worth a try.

538 guest rooms and suites feature comfortable “Sheraton Signature Sleep Experience” beds as well as private balconies overlooking the sea. This is a much better choice for tourists than the other Sheraton in town because of the balconies and resort atmosphere.

Club Level accommodations include access to the Sheraton Club Lounge and an exclusive area for breakfast. The club lounge can be found on the 26th floor and offers breakfast and evening canapes and alcoholic drinks.

Happy Hour offers a nice range of dishes, including smoked salmon, veggies, cheeses, fruit, and two desserts with complimentary beer, wine, and spirits. During the rest of the day, there are free soft drinks, a coffee machine, fruit, and cookies.

9. Sheraton Vitoria Hotel

Sheraton Vitoria Hotel is a superbly cheap (on Marriott Bonvoy points at least!) Rewards Category 2 hotel, located in Praia do Canto, is considered Vitória´s upscale neighborhood. This modern hotel is just a few minutes from the most pleasant bars, restaurants, and taverns in the city, besides the Shopping Vitória, the Bermuda Triangle, where many restaurants are located, the airport, and the convention center of Vitória.

With 231 elegantly decorated rooms and suites, all with a view of the ocean, the island of Boi and the island of Frade, and the Convento da Penha.
