I have compiled a list below containing the club lounges available across luxury hotels in Los Angeles. I list the ones I consider to be the best at the top. I will be reviewing each of these Los Angeles hotel club lounges in detail so that you know what you will get if you book a room with club lounge access.
1. Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey
Probably the best luxury hotel with the best club lounge in Los Angeles is the Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey, an authentic Southern California retreat located on one of the largest recreational marinas in the world and crucially, just five minutes from LAX.
Immerse yourself in stunning coastal surroundings in one of their 304 waterfront guest rooms and suites, relax at Sisley Spa, farm-to-table, dine at Cast & Plow, or exercise on the tennis and basketball courts or in their gorgeous heated saltwater pool. Nearby, the Strand provides a scenic pathway for walking, running, and cycling, while the marina is a top destination for water activities.
Book a Club Level Guest Room and enjoy partial Marina and city views, personal “Juliet” balconies, expansive windows and doors for enhanced vistas and light, luxurious Asprey bath essentials and exclusive Club Lounge access.
Ritz-Carlton Club rooms are a great deal because of the access to the Club Lounge. Amenities include a dedicated team that assists with special requests and vacation plans. More importantly, complimentary small bite food and beverage presentations are offered throughout the day, more than enough to fill you up. Premium cocktails and wines are also available for purchase. Extra activities included for free are a cocktail demonstration from a mixologist highlighting local ingredients from the farmers market and a wine lesson from the Sommelier, and learning about what pairs well with certain blends.
The lounge’s decor is nautical blue, relaxing, and luxurious, and the location is on club level floor 11 (club floors are 11 and 12). Club lounges at Ritz-Carlton hotels tend to be some of the best, with some of the best food of any club lounge. The continuous culinary offerings throughout the day include breakfast, light lunch, evening hors d’oeuvres, desserts, and sweets.
2. Ritz-Carlton Los Angeles
Ritz-Carlton Los Angeles is an excellent luxury hotel in Los Angeles and one of the best earn and burn Marriott Bonvoy point hotels in the city. The club lounge here is located on the 23rd floor. Ritz-Carlton Club Levels tend to be a step above the rest, with five rather than three food offerings daily and more than enough to fill you up. Although this lounge does not offer the views of the InterContinental lounge in the Downtown hotel described below, the food offering is more extensive. I am not great with heights, so I feel much happier on the 23rd than on the 73rd floor. The views here are good enough to marvel at while not feeling too high.
Overlooking the sprawling LA landscape, the lounge offers a dedicated concierge and complimentary food and beverages. This lounge also offers exclusive experiences such as the weekly art gallery that occurs every other Friday & Saturday evening from 4:30- 8:30 pm, where guests of the club lounge have the opportunity to meet with their local art curator from Salon D’ Art and view various forms of artwork themed around the city’s sports, music, and entertainment activities.
3. InterContinental Downtown in Los Angeles
This is the second InterContinental in Los Angeles, and this InterContinental has a club lounge (Hurrah!).
InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown is massively tall and, as a result, expect 360-degree breathtaking views of the legendary California sunset from the tallest building on the West Coast. You check in on the 70th-floor sky lobby and can dine at the top of this 73-floor building, which rises 1,100 feet above street level.
This is the newest luxury hotel in Los Angeles, with 889 plush guest rooms and Instagram-worthy vistas over the City of Angels, from the Hollywood sign to the Pacific Ocean. Six food and beverage options include Spire 73, the highest open-air bar in the Western Hemisphere.
Book a Club InterContinental room rate on one of the eight club floors near the top of the hotel and benefit from Club InterContinental lounge access with complimentary breakfast and cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres daily. The lounge also provides check-out facilities and video libraries.
This lounge is all about the views and is located on the 70th floor of the hotel (the same floor as the hotel check-in desks). It offers its own private check-in and stunning city views through floor-to-ceiling windows. Exclusive access is available to Club InterContinental guests, and extra benefits include complimentary pressing of two pieces of clothing per stay (excluding express service), complimentary local calls, and complimentary Internet access.
They say that distinctly separate areas are created for relaxation, light dining and drinks, and business discussions. You can also enjoy an extensive choice of gourmet breakfast options, snacks, and beverages throughout the day and a wide selection of complimentary evening drinks and canapés to suit your palate.

Club InterContinental rooms also offer an extra level of luxury with Le Labo® bathroom toiletries and thoughtful benefits, like daily turndown service, complimentary Wi-Fi, private in-room check-in, and the option for a later check-out based on availability. Club rooms and suites receive complimentary mineral water daily and are equipped with Nespresso® machines.
4. JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE
Another excellent option for earning and burning Marriott Bonvoy points in Los Angeles is JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. LIVE, which is an excellent luxury hotel in Los Angeles and one of the best earn and burn Marriott Bonvoy point hotel in the city.
Book an Executive lounge access room and get lounge access included in your rate. These rooms are 375 ft², and connecting rooms are available (for some rooms). Alternatively, you should get free access to the executive lounge if you are a Marriott Gold Elite and Platinum Elite member.
Executive lounge access gives you private access via the executive floor. You get complimentary food, which includes continental breakfast, all-day long snacks (cookies and a selection of coffee, tea, soda, juice, and water), hors d’oeuvres, dessert, late-night snacks, cocktails, for a fee, complimentary non-alcoholic beverages, and an Honor bar for the alcoholic drinks.
It is worth knowing that this lounge is closed on the weekend, so be careful what night you book here. The lounge does open up again on Sunday from 5:00 – 10:00 pm for appetizers from 5:30 – 7:30 pm, the honor bar from 5:30 – 10:00 pm, and desserts, which are available from 7:30 – 9:30 pm.
The lounge itself is located on the 4th floor and is pleasant if a little bland, with bar-style seating to one side and a more comfortable sofa seating around tables in the middle and then seats facing outward to the windows at the edge. A hedge-enclosed patio is next to the pool with chairs, overstuffed stools, and a couch. Getting some fresh air on a warm evening or morning is nice.
Just to let you know, the appetizers in the evening are pretty limited in this lounge. Expect cut-up bits of cucumber, celery and carrots, cheese, potato chips (crisps), and fried chicken on a stick. The honor bar is also limited to spirits, vodka, gin, rum, and domestic beer.
As an alternative to the lounge, the JW Marriott also houses one of the most trendy nightspots in downtown LA. Although Downtown has a shorter list of hot properties, the open-air pool terrace and ION rooftop bar at the JW Marriott is a place to see and be seen.
If you are looking for alternative nightlife beyond the executive lounges, some classic nightclubs and lounges in Los Angeles are worth a look.
The Skybar At The Mondrian is the perfect place to party on the rooftop. Views of downtown provide the backdrop to your evening of drinks at Skybar. Possibly offering LA’s hottest nightlife and bar scene, Skybar provides an idyllic oasis to take in the sun or the stars. Tip: For European visitors, remember to tip the bartenders here, or you won’t get a second drink.
Avalon Hollywood is a huge nightclub and music venue that attracts some of the hottest performers and musicians in the business. It houses nearly 2,000 people, features an exclusive lounge on the second floor, and plays host to A-list DJs.
Celebrity Chef Todd English has teamed up with Eva Longoria for an alternative venue to create a restaurant and nightclub. Best is Todd’s side of the operation, while Eva takes the reins at Kiss nightclub.
5. Sheraton Gateway LAX
There are a Sheraton, Westin, and Four Points at LAX, in addition to the Marriott. All are, of course, part of the Bonvoy loyalty scheme. While all these hotels are convenient for the airport, they are close enough to Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, and other Southland attractions to be used as a base. They may also come in cheaper than similar downtown accommodations.
The Four Points is basic, so your choice for the best hotel is between the Sheraton Gateway, the Westin, and the Airport Marriott outlined below.
The Sheraton Gateway was recently refurbished, with a $43 million USD upgrade to the guest rooms, lobby, public spaces, and restaurants. It is one of the closest hotels to LAX, so close that you can walk there from the airport. It attempts to offer a complete resort with restaurants and a pool deck with fire pits and cabanas. The 15th-floor Club Lounge offers a panoramic vista of the airport and the city, making this hotel an excellent choice for LAX. You get free access (whatever room you book) if you are a Bonvoy Platinum member.
LAX Sheraton Gateway Club Lounge Breakfast is mainly continental; Starbucks coffee, yogurt, pastries, hard-boiled eggs, fruit, hot scrambled eggs, and hot oatmeal (No sausage or bacon).
LAX Sheraton Gateway Club Lounge hors d’oeuvres usually include something like hot puff pastry beef wellingtons, hot cheese tortellini plus Cold roast beef sandwiches, vegetable slices (peppers, celery, carrots, etc..), cheeses, crackers, black bean salad, or sausage in a chickpea salad, salsa, egg pasta salad. Don’t expect dessert! On the plus side, bottled water is available 24/7, unlike the LAX Renaissance or the LAX Marriott (no bottled water).
6. Los Angeles Airport Marriott
LAX has had $14 billion USD spent in improvements, and the Los Angeles Airport Marriott has also been improved. This hotel has an M Club Lounge, which is the ideal location to recharge. There are, in fact, a massive 8,000 hotel rooms around LAX, and the Marriott is one of your best choices here. The all-new M Club Lounge at LAX Marriott features 4,000 ft² of space to work and recharge. Located on the 18th floor, you can enjoy spectacular views of the Hollywood Hills, Downtown Los Angeles, and the runways at LAX.
7. Hyatt Regency Los Angeles International Airport
On the Hyatt front, you can choose between the Hyatt Place and The Hyatt Regency. The Hyatt Place looks quite nice and has a 24-hour airport shuttle but no club lounge, while the newly refurbished Hyatt Regency is the better option.
It is around 10 minutes from LAX Terminals. Follow the signs and look out for the Hyatt Regency bus. The rooms here have a stylish design and pretty lighting.
The hotel’s Hyatt Regency Club Lounge is open 24 hours. The food times are specific; you get breakfast, evening meals, and desserts. When there is no other food, the club remains open, and guests can take advantage of the surroundings along with self-serve beverages. The club itself is nice looking, designed in hues of browns and greys, and is a great place to hang out. You need to book a club room to get access.
8. Omni Los Angeles At California Plaza
There is a very decent Club Lounge at the Omni Los Angeles Hotel At California Plaza, located near the subway station, just 10 minutes walk away. Club rooms are on the high floors with access to the Club Lounge, which offers continental breakfast, evening cocktails, desserts, and hors d’oeuvres like ribs. The club is a great place to relax with drinks and food. This hotel also has a stylish lap pool, which is outside and an excellent addition.
8. Westin LAX
The Westin at LAX has a reasonable club lounge on this airport hotel’s top floor. The Westin Executive Club Lounge has everything you need to make your stay more productive, including complimentary wireless High-Speed Internet Access, computer workstations, access to business news, and Starbucks® coffee available 24 hours a day. Guests will enjoy exclusive access if you book a Westin Executive Club Room.
Breakfast is served Monday through Friday mornings, and hors d’oeuvres are served Monday through Thursday evenings. The lounge is open Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 – 10:30 am, but dont expect much food and drink on weekends.
10. Hilton Los Angeles Airport
The Hilton Los Angeles Airport offers an executive floor with access to the “Towers Lounge” executive lounge key.
The hotel is reached by a regular shuttle, and the entranceway to this hotel is very grand, with lots of creamy marble and lots of empty space. Gold and Diamond members can immediately go to the lounge on the 16th floor to check in. Rooms are basic and dated but include a comfortable king-sized bed with Hilton’s Serenity Dreams plush top mattress and 250 thread-count linens.
The Executive Lounge is located on the 16th floor of the hotel and is a large L-shaped room with lots of tables and seats. It can get very crowded. The look is a mix of greys, light, and dark. This lounge has been recently refurbished (from quite an ugly lounge into something pleasant), but the feel is more functional than luxurious.
Food is decent but not noteworthy, with a continental breakfast made up of fruit, including lots of cut-up melon and a large fruit bowl with bananas, apples, and oranges, plus some delicious pastries (I am a muffin fan, so I was satisfied on this score!) and well as bread which can be toasted. It is definitely continental and, as a result, OK but not filling. There is an evening canape offering that will fill you up but is far from inspiring, and although the soft drinks are free, the alcoholic drinks need to be paid for.
The dated rooms and limited food have placed this hotel at the bottom of our best hotel club lounges in Los Angeles.
