Book A Stay

The five-star Grand Hotel Alassio Beach & Spa Resort is a prestigious hotel on the Riviera Ligure, with a glorious tradition of hospitality that began in the 19th century and still continues today.

This Grand Hotel overlooks Alassio’s promenade and gloriously long beach. It offers an ideal base for beaching, evening strolls along the almost neverending beachfront promenade, and fine dining. The town’s bar and shopping areas are just steps away, and the hotel proudly hosts the Italian Riviera’s largest and arguably best spa.

Location

Grand Hotel Alassio Beach & Spa Resort holds a privileged position on the beach, just a few steps away from Alassio’s hotspots: the famous “budello” (shopping mile) and the “muretto” (lovers wall). The hotel also offers charm and impeccable, exclusive service, all with panoramic views of the Baia del Sole, Gallinara Island, and the Ligurian coastline.

Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport is around 30 minutes drive away.

Style & Character

Built in a dazzling neoclassical style and set right on the beach next to the glistening turquoise sea, the hotel follows the example set by the palaces on the Côte d’Azur, ensuring it’s a firm favorite with refined English tourists, international clientele, and celebrities.

Today, the ancient charm of its beautiful architecture, which has recently undergone a conservative restoration, is combined with high-tech services, the most modern of comforts, and contemporary chic interiors that combine minimalist lines and beachy designs.

Service & Facilities

Guests can take part in a wide range of activities supervised by the “Talassio Experience Team,” a group of young staff who will be on hand to help build your magical, customized Alassio experience.

The large private beach has been set up with aesthetics and comfort in mind whilst still embracing the belle époque holiday vibes that celebrated their maximum splendor on these very sands many years ago. Of note, this beach is ideal for children with a warm sea and gently sloping sand, meaning your children can paddle happily in the shallows for hours.

The hotel offers its guests free canoes and paddle surfing, and thanks to the beach bar service, guests can sip cocktails, refreshing drinks, or a re-energizing coffee in total comfort lying on a Hollywood-style lounger under their very own beach umbrella. If you’re traveling as a family, the summer kids’ club is ideal for the under-12s and offers beach games.

The vast Thalassio Medical Spa is a jewel in the crown of the Grand Hotel Alassio, with 1,500 m² of luxury, professional therapists, and the latest technology in treatments spread across three floors in a unique pyramid-shaped building. The spa boasts a beautiful indoor mineralized seawater pool with hydromassage, Finnish sauna, Turkish bath, aromatic herbal bath, ice fountain, Kneipp path, chromotherapy and relaxation area, 16 treatment rooms and cabins, fitness corner with Kinesis and weights, and a solarium on the terrace.

Rooms

The hotel enjoys a wide section of rooms, suites, interconnecting family rooms, and apartments, all overlooking Alassio’s sparkling sea or the rolling green hills. The finish is contemporary and nautical, with pale oak and pastel blues and whites.

Classic rooms have sea or mountain views. We recommend the sea view with a terrace pictured above, which offers a veranda and brilliant views.

Food & Drink

Continental breakfast is served on the seafront terrace and offers bread, cheeses and hams, cereals, and more. The Beach Club is a fabulous place to end the day with a beachside bar sitting beneath a gazebo out under the stars.

Food on offer includes excellent pizza, a grill serving fresh seafood and meats, plus a gourmet restaurant, or you can enjoy Asian food in the bistro.
