Book A Stay

Villa Neri Resort & Spa is an exclusive hotel which offers elegant rooms, gourmet restaurants, a welcoming and intimate Spa and a large saltwater swimming pool surrounded by a lush garden.

Why We Love This Hotel

Hotel Villa Neri Resort & Spa offers understated elegance set on the slopes of the Etna with its verdant vegetation mixed with the destructive force of the volcano. This vibrant flower-filled land of contrasts offers forests of pine, birch, beech, centuries-old olive trees, vineyards, agricultural land, lava flows, and caves.

Best Time To Visit

The best time to visit Sicily is from May to June or September to October. These late spring and early autumn months offer ideal temperatures for touring, beaching, or hiking. Sicily can be busy and hot in July and August.

How To Get There

The easiest way to get to Sicily is to fly into Palermo airport. There are direct flights from UK airports, including London Heathrow flying with British Airways, London Gatwick Airport with EasyJet, London Stansted Airport with Ryanair, and London Luton Airport with EasyJet.

Location

On the one hand, Villa Neri Resort & Spa extends from the front towards a magnificent view of the sea, giving the immensity of the horizon. On the other, towards the unique scenery of the majestic volcano and the lush green woods of Etna Park.

If you don’t rent a car, the resort offers lifts to and from Linguaglossa to enjoy meals out in the evening. The hotel can also transport you to the local Gambino winery.

Style & Character

The hotel was built according to the bio-architectural criteria. As in the ancient noble houses, the exterior is characterized by two colors, classic light blue and brick-red: the main color is the light one, the dark color indicates the area destined to run the ground.

Sicilian natural materials were used for the construction, such as the cocciopesto for the light blue plasters, combined with the white stone of the Ragusa area, the fire red, and black lava for the courtyards, the Taormina sandstone for the external flooring, and the white marble for internal ones.

Service & Facilities

The pool area is a highlight of this hotel. This sophisticated area contains a pool flanked with white loungers giving way to beautiful green lawns. Beyond the pool, you must try the Petra Spa, where you can experience a path based on water and heat, combined with lights, sounds, and colors. With a mini hydromassage pool, sauna, steam bath, emotional showers, and ice fountain, the Spa also has three treatment booths, a break room with heated water beds, and an herbal tea corner.

Rooms

Of the 24 rooms, 9 are enoteca suites with hot tubs, loggias, and terraces, and they also have some small private cellars, with a selection of white and red wines, produced both by the family company and by the local companies, accompanied by different specific wine glass formats for each type of wine.

The hotel’s windows look out onto the crater and the skies above. Inside, rooms have the charm of a bygone era, with murals on the walls that evoke the rich history of Sicily and Southern Italy.

The Master Suite has a bright living room from which you can access the two independent bedrooms with private bathrooms, one with a tub and shower, the other with a big cabin shower. A large equipped terrace has a Jacuzzi and views from Mount Etna to the Nebrodi mountains and the sea at the horizon.

The suites have a living area with a sofa bed; a bathroom finished in precious marble and ceramics. Big windows offer sweeping views of the surrounding countryside or to Taormina and the magic sea of Sicily in the distance. The suites are characterized by a wine cellar with a selection of red and white wines and coffee machines.

The Junior Suite is a comfortable 37 sq m room tastefully furnished in a perfect combination of traditional and modern amenities. The elegant bathroom is clad in precious marble, with a large tiled ceramic basin, large bath, and a generous-sized shower opening. Sweeping views showcase the surrounding countryside with Taormina and the sea in the distance. A wine cellar characterizes the Junior Suite with a selection of red and white wines and a coffee machine.

Classic, Superior, and Deluxe rooms are spacious with elegant furnishings and wrought iron beds, typical of Sicilian tradition. Deluxe rooms offer a cabin shower for two people with chromotherapy. All rooms have a private patio or a terrace.

Food & Drink

Breakfast at Hotel Villa Neri Resort & Spa is charming, with everything imaginable from cooked dishes and champagne to pastries and cereals.

In the evening, the “Dodici Fontane” restaurant brings products and recipes to the table with an eye to catering outside Sicily. The chef Elia Russo thus interprets perfumes and aromas with a strong Sicilian character through preparation and cooking techniques in step with the times. His dishes trace the history of the island through current and, at times, surprising combinations.

Expect highlights to include “zuzzu” of Sicilian black pig shoulder softened by honey and chili pepper caramel, accompanied by the Bronte pistachio and lemon; or “Gli Aironi” Carnaroli rice with extract of roasted red pepper, Syracusan “Gelo di Limone Femminello”; fish dishes such as squid tagliatelle pasta accompanied by fermented lettuce chiffonade, smoked almond cream, hedgehog eggs and meat dishes that cross borders like the “New Zealand” leg of lamb Braised Marsala Cantine Florio with light yogurt cream, white turnip, and basil chlorophyll tips.

Sustainability

Villa Neri Resort & Spa supports the environment by using energy that comes from renewable sources. 95% of the energy used at the hotel is from renewables, while the swimming pool is sterilized with salt and not chlorine. All waste is separated, and the wet part becomes the green fertilizer.
