Kahului Airport (OGG) is Maui’s main airport. Many airlines offer non-stop flights direct to Maui from the US. Maui has one of the best Four Seasons on Hawaii and we have already reviewed the best luxury hotels on Maui and the best hotels with executive club lounges in Maui, Hawaii. Now we review the best airport lounges at Kahului Airport (OGG).
OGG is not the best of airports for services or general seating. It feels dated (1960s/70s) and lacks the liveliness of Honolulu airport. A good lounge would really cheer the place up and make waiting for the departure of your aircraft a whole lot more tolerable. Unfortunately, there’s only one airport lounge at Kahului Airport (OGG) Maui and add to that, unless you are flying with Hawaiian Airlines, you are unlikely to get access. This is not a Priority Pass lounge, so while you might be able to access a nice lounge when you depart from your US departure airport to fly to Hawaii when you fly back from Maui, you will not be able to access any lounge at Kahului Airport (OGG) in Maui at all.
Even if you are flying First out of Maui, unless you are flying Hawaiian Airlines, you won’t have access to the one and only airport lounge either. On the bright side, the lounge is fairly dreadful in Maui. If you want to fly out of Hawaii with access to a Priority Pass lounge or even an airline lounge, fly out of Honolulu.
