1. Villa Ružmarin Lun

Tucked by the sea in the small fishing village of Lun on the dramatic, mountainous island of Pag in Croatia, you’ll find the delightful Villa Ružmarin Lun apartments. Pag is the fifth-largest island on the Croatian coast and has the longest coastline in the country.

Villa Ružmarin Lun lies towards the north of the island, conveniently located just 200m from the village center with direct access to the local beach, perfect for a morning swim or romantic moonlight after-dinner stroll. The apartments are shaded by centuries-old olive trees that add to the peaceful vibe here and are wonderful to meander through at dusk.

Within the local village, you will find restaurants, a pizzeria, and shops, and from here, you can also take a boat to the neighboring island of Rab. The party beach of Zrće is 15.5 miles away, and the town of Novalja is 12.4 miles away. Zadar Airport lies 66.5 miles from the property.

The collection of beautiful modern apartments benefits from a heated private swimming pool, two brand new hot tubs from which you can see the sea, a huge stunning sun terrace, and a barbecue. With facilities this good, you’ll struggle to leave! Though it’s great to return after a day exploring the islands, knowing a relaxing haven awaits you.

All the apartments enjoy panoramic views of the sea and islands from all rooms; everything here is geared to making the most of the sensational views. Choose from six Deluxe One-Bedroom Apartments or two Studio Apartments. All have clean, fresh décor and, of course, are designed to highlight those sea views. The eight apartments have either balconies or terraces and indoor and outdoor dining areas, a living area, a kitchen, and private bathrooms. They have all the mod-cons to make your stay as comfortable as possible, including a flat-screen TV, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, and air conditioning. There’s also complimentary private parking on site. While you can certainly self-cater with the well-equipped kitchens here, with the village being so local, we insist that you also wander down and dine in one or two of the local restaurants too.

2. Apartments & Rooms Grašo

If you need an apartment in the heart of the city of Split, which lies on the eastern shore of the Adriatic Sea, look no further than the Apartments & Rooms Grašo. These contemporary apartments offer everything you need for a trendy city break. The location couldn’t be better. The apartments have amazing views of the well-known Riva Promenade. The UNESCO-listed Diocletian’s Palace is only 50 yards away, while the local pebble beach is around 750 yards.

The recently refurbished, stylish, well-equipped units enjoy air-conditioning, cable TV, and free Wi-Fi. Many of the apartments enjoy wonderful sea views. They are ideal for self-catering as they all have a fully equipped kitchenette and a dining area, and the nearest supermarket is literally steps from the front door. Choose from Studio Apartments, Double Rooms, One-Bedroom Apartments, or Two-Bedroom Apartments; there are also Premium versions of many of these options if you want a more luxurious experience.

The main Bus and Train stations and the ferry port are 450 yards away, the airport is 16 miles away, and a transfer shuttle service can be arranged. Despite the very central location, it’s not a bustling area by night, and peace descends when you need it to.

3. Apartments Eol Viganj

Tucked in the village of Viganj, which lies on the west of the Pelješac peninsula in southern Dalmatia, you’ll find Apartments Eol Viganj. A magnet for windsurfers and surfers, and now very popular with kite surfers, the sea is warm, and the area benefits from 260 sunny days a year.

The apartments themselves consist of three buildings with a total of 9 units overlooking the Adriatic Sea. Steps from the front door, you’ll find a pebble beach, very inviting for your morning swim. The main surfing beach can be found just a 10-minute stroll away. The units are filled with light and are sparsely but luxuriously decorated to highlight the views. All have living spaces, private bathrooms and kitchens, and a terrace where you can dine and watch the sunset. There is also a pool and a sun terrace with a BBQ and deckchairs, everything you need to relax and chill out after busy days on the beach.

Shops, restaurants, and bars are all found less than a 10-minute walk away, so while you certainly can self-cater in the well-equipped kitchens, you don’t have to, and at the very least, a visit to the local beach bar comes highly recommended.

4. Apartments Marković

To really soak up the outdoor life, Apartments Marković is located just 100 yards from the Adriatic Sea and boasts a garden with a terrace, barbecue facilities, and epic coastal views. There is much to do in the area, including fishing, scuba diving, canoeing, and cycling, which the owners will happily help you arrange. As well as Kotor’s stunning town (which includes don’t miss sites such as the Cathedral of Saint Tryphon and the town walls), the nearby town of Perast is worth a visit, as is Lovćen Mountain.
