Which Hyatt Is Best In Cancun? Which is the best All-Inclusive Hyatt: Ziva vs. Zilara? These are both some of the best luxury hotels in Cancun and among the best All-Inclusive Hyatt hotels in the world. Overall the Ziva is better, but the Zilara is also excellent, so you can’t go wrong booking either.

Ziva vs. Zilara Which Is Best For Location?

Hyatt Ziva is peaceful and yet within walking distance of the main shops and restaurants in Cancun. Both resorts are within about a mile of each other, and a taxi would probably cost in the region of $5 USD between the two. You can apparently use the Ziva restaurants if you are staying at Zilara or Zilara restaurants if you are staying at Ziva.

Ziva vs. Zilara Which Is Best For Beach?

Hyatt Ziva is positioned brilliantly on a peninsula with the ocean on three sides which means the views are fabulous, and the peninsula feels exclusive.

Unlike most hotels in Cancun, it has two gorgeous beaches, and you can enjoy swimming with fish and underwater animals on the north beach, which is unique to this hotel as the waters off most of the hotels in the Hotel Zone in Cancun can be fairly rough and are not calm enough to enjoy the marine wildlife. Here the calm waters are perfect for spotting things underwater.

The beach at Zilara is also gorgeous, but it can get rough, sometimes so much so that you can’t swim at all, which is a major disadvantage.

Ziva vs. Zilara Which Is Best For Wildlife?

Hyatt Ziva has calmer waters on its beach so you can swim with the fish. It also has iguanas in the grounds. Hyatt Zilara has neither of these.

Ziva vs. Zilara Which Is Best For Food?

The food is fairly similar across both these resorts. Habaneros at Ziva is particularly lovely. It is a beach hut restaurant that serves tacos, shrimp, etc. and cocktails. For this reason, Ziva has the edge.

Ziva vs. Zilara Which Is Best For Kids?

Kids can stay at Ziva. Conversely, if you want to avoid children, book into the Turquoize Tower in Ziva, which is adults-only with an adults-only pool area.

Hyatt Zilara Cancun is, of course, an adults-only resort.

Other Hyatt Options?

If you want to try somewhere else, the Grand Hyatt Playa Del Carmen is another option with everything within walking distance. Otherwise, you can see our review of these two resorts in Cancun below:
