Hotel For $1 Per Night – But There’s A Catch

How bad can it be? The Asahi Ryokan hotel in Fukuoka, Japan rents two of its rooms for just $1 each per night. The catch? Cameras live stream the rooms to YouTube. The hotel makes up the shortfall in the cost of the room by monetizing their “One Dollar Hotel” video feed.

Apparently “cameras are pointed away from the bathroom area to give guests some privacy,” but would you trade your privacy for the savings? Other rooms in the hotel cost $27 so you’re saving $26 per night by giving up your privacy.
