Book A Hotel

If you have a queasy stomach, you may not want to read on…

Have you noticed that some of your favourite hotels have recently stuck wall-mounted toiletries in the shower and by the bath, instead of offering those cute take-away toiletries? I am very environmentally conscious. I recycle everything, I am vegetarian, but I do so love those mini hotel toiletries. It is my guilty secret.

Many of the major chains have converted their bottled toiletries into wall-mounted dispensers. This takes away one of the many joys of staying in a hotel.

Most guests would prefer toiletries in recyclable containers (paper or maybe glass?) than in dispensers. These dispensers remind me of my high school lavatories and judging by the tweet below, not all of them are cleaned properly.

No-one wants to stay in a hotel room only to catch an illness from the soap dispenser and View From The Wing puts together some very good arguments about why these dispensers are a bad idea.
