Book A Hotel

Which hotel is best if you need to choose between Le Meridien Mina Seyahi vs. Westin Mina Seyahi Dubai? Both hotels are almost next door to each other on the beach and ideal for families in Dubai. Le Meridien is bigger and closer to the Jumeirah Beach Walk, while the Westin is nearer to the metro. So which should you choose? Which is best?

Below we have outlined both hotels in more detail, and we have also detailed the best Marriott Bonvoy hotel in Dubai separately. For now, we do a quick comparison.

Which is cheaper? Le Meridien tends to be cheaper than the Westin Mina Seyahi Dubai. If price is your deciding factor, go for the cheapest as both hotels access the same facilities. That said, the price of the Westin does not seem to change, by season, as much as Le Meridien. So you can sometimes grab a bargain at the Westin, but rarely at Le Meridien, so it is always worth checking and comparing the rates.

Which is cheaper on points? Currently, Le Meridien is a category 5 property costing from 35,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per room per night. Westin Mina Seyahi Beach Resort is currently a category 7 property costing from 60,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per room per night. This makes Le Meridien much cheaper on point redemptions.

In terms of location, although they are pretty much next door to each other, Le Meridien Mina Seyahi is arguably in a slightly better location as there are a few things to do in and around Le Meridien, and you can walk to adjacent hotels and The Walk. The Westin just looks out onto the road at the back.

When comparing the Club Lounge of each of these hotels, we have already investigated the best club lounges in Dubai, at Le Meridien, you get an entirely separate club wing of the hotel which have access to the lounge for breakfast and dinner, etc. This probably gives Le Meridien the edge.

For sleep, the Westin Heavenly Bed has eased millions of guests into a deep, restful sleep. These beds are brilliant and will give you a great night’s sleep, so pick the Westin if you are an insomniac!

For rooms, the Westin rooms are larger vs. Le Meridien, but many standard rooms don’t have balconies which is a real disadvantage.

When comparing the amenities at the Westin Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina vs. Le Meridien, the Westin stick to its own brand amenities, which aren’t great. Le Meridien offers superior Mailin and Goetz toiletries which are the best.

How about the best grounds and pools? The pools at Le Meridien Mina Seyahi are huge, with plenty of sunbeds, surrounded by larger grounds than the Westin. The Westin pool is narrow and windy by comparison, although do bear in mind that you can use both pools and grounds, whichever hotel you choose to stay at.

Both are excellent hotels, and there’s not much between them. Le Meridien Mina Seyahi is marginally better in most respects, but it is probably not worth paying a huge premium to stay here vs. Westin Mina Seyahi. Your best bet is usually to go for the cheapest hotel as they both have the same access to the same communal facilities.
