United Makes Disappointing Changes To Business Class

News : Travel

United Airlines has just made a major change to its Business Class product which will disappoint passengers.

It has just launched new Pajamas to replace the old Polaris pajamas. United’s original Polaris pajamas were great, in fact all the original United Polaris amenities used to be great as you can see from our review of United Polaris Business Class, but these new ones appear to be a cheaper and less luxurious:

United has recently gained a reputation in the mainstream press for cutting back services in their long haul Business Class. They removed a flight attendant from the Business Class cabin and made meals easily reheatable so there was less work for the flight attendants. This, of course, means that the food isn’t very good as a result.

Many frequent flyers blame United’s President Scott Kirby, and American Airline’s President Doug Parker is up to similar tricks, and offers pajamas on just four flights in Business Class (Dallas and Los Angeles – Hong Kong and Los Angeles – Sydney and Auckland) although Doug Parker seems to have faith in his strategy in terms of making the airline more profitable and has recently made some genius or insane purchases of large chunks of AA shares. Last year Delta reportedly removed pajamas in Business Class too. Whether you like to sit on a plane in pajamas or not, the loss of these perks will encourage flyers to fly competitor airlines when they have a choice.
