Book A Hotel

It’s insane. The most expensive city to do business in Asia is ridiculously more expensive than many cheaper and equally impressive options.

The latest research by the HR consultancy ECA International suggests that it might be worth rerouting your Asian business trip to an alternative city if Hong Kong is where you intend to do business.

“For the second consecutive year, Hong Kong has been ranked as the most expensive location in Asia for business travel… Tokyo remains second in the Asia rankings, with the typical business trip now costing $494 USD a day. Seoul is in third place based on the overall price of a business trip”.

How much does it cost to stay in Hong Kong for one single day? Apparently, US$ 515 per day. How much of this is allocated to the hotel stay? Just $286 USD, not exactly luxury travel. The rest goes on meals, drinks, laundry, taxi transport, and daily essentials.

A typical business trip to Singapore is now $468 USD, making it the fourth most expensive location in Asia for business travel.

Where’s cheap? Bangkok is much cheaper than the cities outlined above.

Our Solution

There is one way you can make that $515 USD work much harder for you AND get everything included, so you don’t need to worry about the cost of an evening drink (or 5?) and any of your meals. Book a hotel with a club lounge.

Within the club lounge, you will find a delightful ambiance to work and do business. You will be catered for throughout the day, and you will have your drinks all included, too. We have outlined the best hotel club lounges in Hong Kong and the best hotel club lounges in Tokyo so you can see which hotels have the best club lounge and which you should book for your next trip away.

What Is The Best Club Lounge In Hong Kong?

We think the Four Seasons Hong Kong Executive Club Lounge at the Four Seasons Hong Kong (pictured above) is one of the best and also one of the few 24-hour lounges in Hong Kong. It combines luxury furnishings with an outdoor wraparound balcony on the 45th floor where you can breathe some fresh air. This alfresco space, along with the excellent food and drinks offerings, makes this lounge one of the best in Hong Kong.
