Beach Bunny is a brand that has appeared on my swimwear radar many times. Recently I caught a glimpse of their latest collection and as a girl that loves a few sequins and adores body jewellery, (see Beach Bunny SS19 ‘Siren Song’ and ‘Ball And Chain’), I was tempted to fire up my browser and see what else was new.
I have been somewhat dismissive of Beach Bunny’s clothing in the past as unnecessarily skimpy, and I’ve been known to wear Minamial Animal! So I was surprised by what I saw.
There are some ‘barely there’ pieces amongst their collection, but in the main what greeted me was a bunch of lovely bikinis interspersed with a few very cute looking one pieces. There’s something for everyone. Contemporary, on-trend, desirable pieces furnished with some lovely embellishments that any girl could rock.
If I had to pitch Beach Bunny in the crowded swimwear market place, I’d say they strike me as direct competition to another favourite US swimwear brand of Luxury Travel Diary, Beach Riot. There are lots of similarities between the two companies offerings and style. These are brands that want you to wear their gear on and off the beach.
Pricing is around the medium end with some pieces creeping slightly higher. Expect to pay just under $250 for their best selling ‘Hard Summer’ bikini top + bottom.
Shipping costs outside of the US are slightly excessive, ($30 to the UK), but if you live in the States or anywhere else and don’t share my hangup about shipping costs, I strongly recommend taking a look a Beach Bunny’s swimwear. Next time I’m in the USA I will endeavour to pick up a couple of pieces myself.
Check out the slide show and see how lovely the SS19 pieces are for yourself.
