It’s that time of year again in the Northern Hemisphere, summers coming! It’s the season to start thinking about long lazy days on a beach or by a pool somewhere exotic. For this, you deserve the most dazzling looks.
But with so much lovely swimwear too choose from where do you start? Help is at hand with Luxury Travel Diary’s collection of the very best swimwear to sparkle in during 2019.
This collection of luxury lycra contains something for everyone. Bikinis and one-piece swimsuits from premium brands, featuring the skimpiest offerings for the bravest, to the most stylish pieces for poolside divas.
My preference is the wonderful Heidi Klein. Fabulous cuts, styling and fabrics. It would be sad for a girl to limit herself to just a few pieces of swimwear though. So I revisited some favourite brands and searched far and wide for newcomers to present what I think are the best looks, and swimwear picks for summer 2019.
Swimwear for the brave that leaves little to the imagination. Minimale Animale is an easy winner here. I’ve been watching this brand grow and grow. This swimwear is not for the faint-hearted, but I do love their metallics. My preference is to style their pieces with a coverup, (Minimale Animale themselves sell some fabulous coverups), to create fantastic and less revealing looks.
Lee+Lani has some lovely pieces that would comfortably fall into this category as has Chromat with its bonkers catwalk offerings. It’s Indah’s swimwear that consistently stands out for me though. Indah’s collections always feature a fantastic bikini or one piece to tempt and surprise. Importantly their pieces are wearable as well as unique.
The busiest category with a ton of brands sporting the latest trends to tempt. Triangl or Skye and Staghorn could have easily been my pick. Beach Bunny would have to be right up there too. But it’s Beach Riot that wins for me. Beach Riot always has the latest looks in swimwear. I see more and more girls wearing their pieces as part of an outfit for a night out.
Far from boring, I’m talking about pieces you’re more likely to wear in Capri as opposed to something you might pack for Glastonbury. Swimwear that matches classic cuts, with just the right amount of contemporary styling. Moeva, (if it’s good enough for Kim it’s good enough for me), is a stand out in this area with their glamorous look and very desirable one pieces. Predictably though, when I need to dress up poolside, I’d always go Heidi Klein and end the slide show with my favourite new piece from her Summer 2019 collection.
Take a look at the slide show and see if you agree. The slide show starts with two new Heidi Klein pieces and then follows the order above.
