Meet The Luckiest Man Alive Who Wasn’t On The Doomed Ethiopian Jet

Commercial airliner crashes hardly ever happen, so when the new flagship aircraft from Boeing nose-dived last week, the world went into shock.

One man was due to fly on the doomed flight and didn’t make it. Here is his Facebook comment:

This guy was running just a few moments late and missed the flight. Antonis Mavropoulos was running and stressed as he worked his way through the airport noting “there was no one to help me go fast”

He says: When I arrived, the boarding was closed and I watched the last passengers in the tunnel go in – I screamed to put me in but they didn’t allow it.

He was a connecting passenger. He was supposed to be met on arrival in Addis Ababa and escorted to this flight to Nairobi but he failed to connect up with the airline’s representative when he landed which would have gotten him to his connection on time. Fate eh?

And he ends, “Maybe not too old to rock n roll – but certainly too young to die…”

Mavropoulos is still here today. The 157 passengers and crew on board Ethiopian Airlines flight ET302 arent. Terrible but yes, he is lucky.
