After a “huge bang” from the plane engine of a Vienna bound flight, taking off from London Stanstead, the pilots aborted the takeoff and evacuated passengers via slides declared an emergency, and flights were temporarily suspended. Officials said the bang had been caused by a “suspected engine problem”. Frightening stuff.
British Airways isn’t having a great week of it either. Take a look at this frightening footage of a BA plane tilting wildly in a maneuver around the rock of Gibraltar.
Laudamotion Airbus A320 (OE-LOA, flt #OE327) evacuated via slides following a takeoff abort on runway 22 at London-Stansted Airport (EGSS), UK. Previously, a loud bang was heard from an engine. The runway is blocked. Traffic came to a halt. @STN_Airport https://t.co/vXV0GaFq7t pic.twitter.com/84XKXTZi46
