Book A Hotel

The Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues Geneva is one of the best luxury hotels in Geneva. This luxury hotel will never make it into my list of the cheapest Four Seasons hotels in the world because Geneva is expensive, and this hotel sits at the very top of the luxury options in this lakeside city.

Get The Best Deal At Four Seasons Geneva

The best way to get discounts, special offers, free benefits, and ultimately the cheapest rate at any Four Seasons hotel or resort, including the Four Seasons Geneva, is to book your next Four Seasons stay via our luxury travel concierge and we can give you free loyalty-style benefits, room upgrades, and perks, at the same rate as the fourseasons.com website. Our rates are as cheap as the Four Seasons website but also offer a bunch of valuable free additional benefits. These benefits will be added to your booking at no extra cost, even if the rate is a special offer rate, such as four nights for the price of three or three nights for the price of two promotions.

Get Priority Upgrades

The benefits that our luxury travel concierge offers at Four Seasons hotels are prioritized because we are an exclusive and official Four Seasons agent. What does this mean? Put simply, a room booked by us will get priority upgrades. If there is only one room available at the hotel, which is the category above yours, we put you at the front of the line. You will be prioritized to get this upgrade!

Special Offers & Discounted Rates Online

The great thing about booking with our luxury travel concierge is that you can get these free benefits whilst taking advantage of Four Seasons special offers. Each individual hotel has its unique special offers page. Here is the link to the Four Seasons Geneva offers page.

Many Four Seasons hotels offer third or fourth-night free offers, but this Four Seasons is so popular that it doesn’t need to offer this kind of deal. It also offers breakfast-inclusive rates, but as you get free breakfast by booking with our luxury travel concierge anyway, there is no advantage in booking these rates either, so you do better booking the cheapest rate.

The best offer is probably the advance purchase 15% discount. You get 15% off room rates when you stay two or more nights. This deal is valid for most of the year and must be booked 14 days in advance.

The offer is valid on any room, including the base or Standard room (which is still very nice), through to the Deluxe room and even the Suites. This offer does not require the use of any promo code and just shows up on the website, or we can book you into a Standard or Deluxe Room or higher accommodation category and ensure that you take advantage of this discount along with our benefits for the same price.
There is also an “experience more” hotel credit offer where you receive valuable credit towards hotel dining and drinks when you book a room or a suite. To take advantage of this deal, you must stay at least 3 nights, and you get:

  • CHF 100 Hotel credit per stay in a guest room, applicable towards Hotel food and beverage charges
  • CHF 200 Hotel credit per stay in a Four Seasons Executive Suite or higher accommodation category, applicable towards food and beverage charges

This CHF spend is on top of the $100 USD credit you will automatically get when you book via our concierge, so you can, in effect, stack credits for your stay.

All the discounts and deals outlined on the Four Seasons Geneva special offers page can also be combined with our own luxury concierge’s additional Four Seasons perks. These offers may only be available on certain dates, so it is worth checking the ts and cs if you are flexible with your vacation plans so that you can make plans to book when the best discounts are available.

Get To The Four Seasons Geneva

The Four Seasons Geneva is a lakefront property located in the heart of this Swiss city. Geneva airport is a short drive away, around 20-30 minutes in a taxi. We usually recommend Blacklane because they have smart Mercedes cars and offer good value with their Blacklane discount code, which will give you money off your first ride.

As you are slap bang in the middle of Geneva, you can walk everywhere.

Best Time To Visit

Geneva is a year-round destination. Summer is balmy and ideal for romantic walks around the lake and boat trips across the lake. Autumn is a misty and romantic time to visit, with the leaves falling off the trees. Spring is also an uplifting time to visit, but it can get awfully cold in the winter, so I would always choose to visit late spring, summer, or early autumn to hedge my bets with the weather.

Why Four Seasons Geneva?

There are two entrances to Four Seasons Geneva, one at the front of the building overlooking the lake, where the supercars drop off the high-net-worth guests. This rotating door leads onto a grand marble foyer, which is so swish. It will really blow you away.

The superb restaurant, Il Lago, forms the other entrance to this Four Seasons hotel. This restaurant in itself is a reason to stay at this magnificent hotel. Hand on heart, it’s the best restaurant I have ever eaten in.

The hotel itself is a mass of magnificent and historic corridors leading onto majestic bars and lounges. All are encased in marble and dark wood. It offers a playground for wealthy bankers and rich tourists. Rooms are just as immaculate and historic.

Rooms

Wherever you go in the world, Four Seasons rooms will be large and luxurious. The bathrooms, in particular, are always enormous, even in the base rooms. Their cheapest rooms are still of an excellent size, standard, and quality. In fact, they are usually identical to the rooms with a larger price tag and are often only differentiated from each other by the view. At the Four Seasons Geneva, the rooms are beautiful and historic.

Standard rooms are the base rooms and offer the best deal whilst still taking advantage of the incredible experience of staying at a Four Seasons hotel. They are smaller than the Superior rooms at 36m2 but are still classic and beautiful. The larger Superior (25 – 29 m²) and Delux (32 – 36 m²) rooms are less cheap and consequently offer an even better experience with more space. It is worth requesting the largest room in each category.

The Loft Studio is particularly cute in the eaves of the building with a 6th-floor view. It pairs an ergonomic workspace with the views of Geneva so you can look out at the view while working. A superbly appointed marble bathroom, which is around the same size as the room (enormous), has a large vanity, a European soaking tub, an oversized rain shower, and a private hammam. This room can also take 2 adults plus one crib, which is useful if you travel with your baby.

Pool & Spa

A decadent spa and an elegant swimming pool offer superb rooftop views across the lake, making this the perfect hotel place to relax. Loungers face the view, and with so few hotels in Geneva offering pools, this pool is a great feature of this Four Seasons. It is worth mentioning that the Kempinski Geneva also has a fabulous pool, although the rooms do not match the Four Seasons level of luxury.

Restaurants

The Il Lago restaurant is a “must do,” whether you stay at this Four Seasons or not. It spills out a decked area that overlooks one of the prettiest streets in Geneva. The decking is protected by olive trees and flowers, candlelit and romantic, whilst still undoubtedly in the heart of Geneva.

Sounds of clip-clopping horse-drawn carriages mix with the farty exhausts of the occasional Ferrari (which all, by the way, seemed to be stopping by the Four Seasons), but somehow, the protective olive trees and greenery simultaneously whisked to a romantic garden on a Tuscan hillside. Read more about the food in my full restaurant review of Il Lago At Four Seasons Geneva to find out how good it is.

In the winter, you eat inside in the historic dining room, which offers old European charm and the same incredible fine dining, but if you can visit in the summer as the alfresco experience is truly fantastic.

This alfresco eaterie is just across the water from historic lakeside buildings that stand to attention, topped with sparkling letters from Cartier, Hublot, and Rolex, which light up the night sky.

Is There A Club Lounge?

Four Seasons Geneva does have a lounge, Le Bar Des Bergues to be exact, which is a traditional but luxurious place to enjoy a beer or a coffee. The seats are enormous and look like thrones, and it has a terrace to the side if you want to drink with views out onto the lake. This is not, however, a club lounge. This lounge is more of a bar or a lounge where you might have afternoon tea. The fundamental difference is that you have to pay for drinks and food in this lounge, unlike the offering in a club lounge where everything is free once you have paid for the access and are through the door.

Although we cannot offer club lounge access at this Four Seasons hotel, we can book you in with some incredible benefits.

Reward Style Benefits At Four Seasons Hotels

There are ways to take advantage of loyalty style benefits, much like those that you would be gifted if you were the top tier of one of the big chain loyalty programs. In fact, you can take advantage of these loyalty style benefits from your very first stay. And Four Seasons is not alone in this luxury offering. Most luxury hotels have hidden travel agent loyalty programs that give you free benefits if you book with the right “Virtuoso” or hotel partner agent. I have outlined the best luxury hotel loyalty programs that give you upgrades and free breakfast.

In a nutshell, book through a high-end travel agency like our own luxury travel concierge. We are not cheaper, we are the same price as the Four Seasons website, but the free benefits we offer are massively valuable.

Will There Ever Be A Four Seasons Loyalty Program?

There have been rumors wafting about regarding a consumer Four Seasons loyalty program for years. The truth is that none of these rumors have come to fruition. At least not yet! The only way to get loyalty style benefits is to book through a high-end travel agency like ours.

How About Corporate Promo Codes?

Special corporate promo codes do exist, so if you are an employee of a company like Goldman Sachs, Bank Of America, IBM, or the government, you might be able to take advantage of these discounts, but these codes are not widely available to the general public. Even though there is a Four Seasons promo code box on the homepage of their website, I have yet to find anyone who has access to a discount code that can be pasted into this promo code box! In addition, the discount is unlikely to be as good as the free benefits offered by our luxury travel concierge. We suggest asking for a free quote so you can compare prices and benefits and get the full picture before booking.

You do get a discount if you are a Four Seasons resident. In this case, if you own a Four Seasons residence, you will be able to book into other Four Seasons resorts at a discounted price. Again, this may not be worth as much as the benefits offered by our luxury travel concierge. Again, we suggest asking for a free quote before making your final decision.

Early booking discount rates, special promotional packages, rates with promo codes, friends and family rates, corporate rates, group rates, and other discounted rates usually also qualify for the perks that you get by booking with our luxury travel concierge, but it is always worth checking with our travel experts to be sure.

Why I Love A Four Seasons Hotel

I love Four Seasons hotels, not least because they are so lovely to my own child. They seem to be designed for families while remaining a great choice for couples, too. Just look at the two pools at the Four Seasons Lanai, one allows children, but the other is a serene, peaceful place. My little boy is growing up too fast but is still welcomed with open arms across all Four Seasons hotels. I have never felt uncomfortable taking him out in the evening or fearful when I see other families at Four Seasons hotels as I have never seen a badly behaved child at a Four Seasons on all my travels – they must be worn out from having too much fun!

And when you are tired and in an unfamiliar part of the world that is far from home, a Four Seasons hotel will make you and your family feel cossetted and safe. The staff will know where the nearest pharmacy or doctor is. They will have a supply of any toiletries that you forgot. They will cater to your child who refuses to eat egg because “there are black bits in it” (pepper), even if that means redelivering a different version of the same meal twice. They will even entertain your children at one of their many wonderful kids’ clubs, so it is a real vacation for you as well as the kids.

Four Seasons will satisfy the needs and tastes of any discerning traveler and is, without a doubt, one of the world’s best and most well-known luxury hotel brands. They will have thought of everything, and even though their environment may be slightly sanitized and have more of a Four Seasons personality than the personality of the local area, I am a major fan.

Is It Worth Booking Your Four Seasons Room Via Your Credit Card?

Credit cards sometimes offer deals at luxury hotels, but if you book through our own luxury travel concierge, your benefits are prioritized over credit card bookings. By all means, pay for your room using a credit card, but by using your credit card supplier to book your rooms, you will not get the best discount or deal.

Conclusion

Four Seasons Geneva is one of the best luxury hotels with a price tag to match. My favorite room is not here but at Le Richemond hotel just around the corner, with the “Suite Ambassador”, which I love, but unlike most hotels in Geneva, EVERY room at the Four Seasons Geneva is great, you simply can’t go wrong, and whichever room you choose, you will undoubtedly love this immaculate and charismatic hotel!
